Where did you get those put on?
Had them put on at New Marina Shoe Repair in San Francisco. It took him a couple of days and I think he charged me $100 or so. Great place!

Jolla,
Boots look amazing. What soles are those again? I remember seeing, but has been awhile.
Thanks.
Thanks Shangers. Those are honey colored Vibrams. I don't know the model number, but it has a heavy tread. They make the boot super-light and very comfortable.

Not really sure, rnrswitch. Didn't do anything special to get that--just happened that way.

Thanks fresco. I had done a couple coats in dark brown, cordovan, and navy and they really got dark. I love these babies!

Always lurker, occasional poster. I really love this thread--thanks to all for great content and pics.
So, I posted a pic of some of my stuff back on page 370 of this thread, when my Indys were less than a week old:
After two years and a Chicken inspired resole, here are some follow-up pics:
And the obligatory "fit pic":
See y'all in two years for another update!

jolla - great chukkas man. Hoping you'll post them on sometime.
Yeah, I can do that. I'll get something up this afternoon.

How did sizing work? I took an 11 in my Clarks Desert Boots and they are slightly roomy but I've grown quite accustomed to the fit
I measure the fit on all of my shoes to include a cushioned orthotic to make them a little more comfortable. I bought an 11F (which I think should would out to something like an 11.5E or EE in US) and they are a little long and thin, but the fit is generally pretty good. My Aldens are 11EEE and that is pretty much perfect for me.

Yours look so much better that the new ones. Great!
Thanks atom. I just use a little clear polish on those and burnished a little by buffing with a linen cloth.

I am too!
And Beatle, very nice indeed! Can we see an "in action" picture soon -please!?
Thanks moykky. I'd definitely recommend them--a little lighter than the Alden chukkas that I used to have, but very well made.

nice collection Jolla!
What did you use to polish your Indys? I have a pair on order and I like your color vs the factory.

I actually used some Meltonian Tan and that didn't really have too much of an effect. I was planning on just leaving them alone and not doing anything else to them, but you know how that works out. I put some Meltonian Brown on them and liked them a little bit darker, so I figured I'd pull out the big guns. I put a layer of Meltonian Blue on there and this is where I ended up.
I only put Meltonian Tan on the welt stictching to take them a bit off white and I haven't messed with that otherwise. I didn't like the blue tinge that was left on the white toe stitching after the last coat, so I took some leather cleaner and brushed it clean with a toothbrush. Now, the stitching is relatively white and the boots are pretty dark.
I like where they're at now, so it's just a matter of letting these bad boys break in naturally.

I am IN LOVE with those Alfred boots. Please tell me more about them and where to get them.
Thanks blank - I looked for a waxy leather chukka forever and finally found em:

I've really enjoyed reading this whole thread and thought I'd kick in my favorites to wear with jeans.
From left to right:
- Alfred Sargent Castleton ~ 6 months old
- Alden 405s ~ less than a week old!!!
- RM Williams Comfort Turnout ~ 1 year old
- Church's (not sure what style) ~ 3 years old
Thanks!

Just happened to see this tonight...
It's not exactly what you wanted, but TSM has an NST boot in Ravello:
