A.P.C.
in superdenim
i returned my 34w rescues after putting them on and finding that when they were that wide the inseam played a problem with wearing low top sneakers or shoes, which is what munchy's problem was.
However when i put them on they were as tight in the thigh as my NS were when first put on. I've kept my NS which have stretched but agree that they could still be more roomier in the thigh. I'm assuming the rescues would stretch to to a more accomadating fit, but then I still got the rapper look at my heels.
Thats why I'm asking if anyone gets NS true to size so the thigh is more roomy while avoiding dragging your jeans under your feet. thats it.

I'm 6'2,I'll say normal legs. My NS are the tightest fitting jeans I've ever owned, and actually ordered the rescues first which i returned. For years wore 501's and 505's w36 l32 and rescues compared to both of those are still much bigger/longer. Wanted something better quality minus the logo's which apc excels at. better?
i actually wish they made something in between the NS and rescue.

rescues are ridiculously oversized. they really only would look good on very very large people or if you're looking for the thug rap star or early nineties skateboarder look in which case you'de also need a chain wallet, some puma suedes and some FUCT t-shirts. i think you should just get new standards in your true waist size if you must wear apc and want a baggier/looser fit. anyone ever do that on here? not sizing down on new standards?

No.

then why are the sizing directions on both styles
the same?

how slim can these go? i don't want skin tight, but i hate too baggy.
i kind of want to buy a pair but i don't know if it's going to be a waste of money or not.
your true waist size fits tight/fitted, anything less than true waist is very tight. i cant believe how people never talk about how much the inseam shrinks. i normally wear 36x32 in 501 or 505 but for STF 36 or 38 waist and a wopping 36 inseam. hope this helps

could we all agree that the 1955 LVC shrinks the same way the cheap 501 stf's do?

good lookin out Paul. I just think it weird how you say different models do different things although they all have the same instructions ya know.
thanks again.

I always buy em fitted, because after a wash the easily stretch back in waist not so with inseam, you can´t stretch back length...
so you get true waist for LVC? I'm debating either a 36 or 38 waist from cultizm. Thanks for responding too!

the shrinkage factors on the labels of LVC is the same as 501 STF.
After shrinkage in LVC do you guys get away with true waist cuz i do with STF. Inseam definately do what they say that I know. Thoughts?

How do certain stores sell Clarks for $100+ while the Jamaican dudes I used to work with tell me I can get them on the Ave. for $50? Are they real? opinions anyone.

if apc is using the body frame of the vast majority of people on this thread(under 6foot tall and hyposthenic) as a standard for measurement than their description of their rescue jean as, "roomier", would be fuckin huge. I'd imagine the rescues are far larger than 501's, which is what i'm looking for an equivalent.

you can pretty much get your actual waste size with 501 stf.
its the inseam that shrinks most drastically in my opinion.
I wear a 36X32 and in stf i have to get a 36x36. I'm assuming i'd
have to do the same with most higher end denim.

if i wear a 36x32 regular 501 (not stf or lvc)
what size 1947 501 should i get?
do they shrink like 501 stf?
if i put a 1947 501 in the wash will it get
ugly like 501 stf's do?
thank you my friends.

is it possible to wash levis 501 stf's without shrinking them (too much) but more importantly without losing the rigidity? If someone knows I'd appreciate it. thanks

can i keep the sheen of my 501 stf's while still washing them? if so how? Do the more pricier levis 501's keep their sheen after a wash? thanks. i want the sheen man gotta have some sheen!

just put them on and so far the waist has shrunk a wee bit nothing drastic at the inseam. time to go to work. update later.

took a shower in my stf's about an hour ago, now i'm letting them dry. the original size was 36w/32l. i'm 6"2" so i let you know how much the inseam shrinks. they were very stiff when i bought them 2 days ago hence never wore them. blah blah blah. if i used the size chart then i'd have to get a pair with a38 waist, which is fine but a 35 or 36 inseam just sounds ridiculous.

Jesus...your a bitter one huh? I could take issue with this too many ways. But I'm not gonna waste too much time "hating" on some washed up guy who's upset cause something he valued as a kid no longer passes muster. You make some semi decent points, but you come off like a prick. Oh wait. . . I forgot about your impressive resume DJing at college and seeing "true-school" hiphop groups at tramps. . .my fault. You must really be the authority on shit like this. What I hate about this attitude the most is that weather or not your or my interest in rap music sustains itself (and shit...my patience is growing slim) That will NEVER change the fact that hiphop is music. Plain and simple.
I'm curious what really happened with you... Did you watch too many of your friends die or go to jail, or did you leave college with a degree, a steady girlfriend, and a career path? did you start to feel ashamed to say you listened to music made by a bunch of poor mysogynistic men prone to violent boasts, or were you sick of backpackers who had nothing better to do than rap about how nice they were at rappin, or speak in cryptic metaphors not worth deciphering? Why is graffiti any less valid in 2006 for the young bucks, born and raised in NYC who are out crushing it because it runs in their veins and they just can't get it out? These are real questions to me...cause alot of what you say I can relate to. But what I can't relate to is your tone of superiority, laced with a mix of sadness and anger. Just because Hiphop lost you, or you lost Hiphop doesn't make you the authority on Shit...other than your own experience. And that's it.
Music as a whole feels stale and boring to me these days, but every now and then, I catch something that really hits me where it counts, and that's what makes it all worth while...

Tone of superiority? Sadness and Anger? I'm letting you know the shit I was into when i was into hip hop to prove I have some knowledge about the music and you immediatly take that as me being superior, sad, angry, and then even my friends come into the mix(jail and that actually made me laugh). I was talking only about an opinion on music, and my reasons behind it and you guys started hating on me! You say you're losing your patience with someone and start name calling. Is that not ignorance? We're on a goddam computer and i respond every other day! You guys are proving my point for me: Short attention spans, automatically assuming that someone thinks there better then them at the drop of a dime, What music do they like: hip hop!

you cant understand why i would bring up having a hard time trying to sell my hip hop cd collection to make a point? In general you dont think hip hop lyrics for the most part consist of someone with low self esteem blabbing about why he or she is the illest and why he or she is so much better than those other "fake MC's". And then of course what they'll do to you if you "step up". Rather how they'll "kill you".
After this I'm letting it die but does anyone else in here hear what i'm saying. See where i'm coming from?

first off just because i'm hating on hip hop doesnt mean its not constructive. What i mean is that I myself and many other kids that i know grow out of hip hop and as they get older agree that hip hop is juvenile crap. Its bad pop culture. Its just as mundane and weak as pop acts like Britney. I got rid of my entire hip hop collection and could't get anything for it hitting up every record shop in NYC and the reason for this is because real people interested in real music don't recognize hip hop. It has no long lasting value to people who listen to all types of music.
Even all the people on you're "good hip hop list" (which is not impressive) all still talk about the same exact shit. And dont get me wrong i understand what good hip hop is. I used to have a hip hop radio show in college for three years, and used to see people like Poor righteous teachers, gangstarr, Nice and Smooth, Organized Konfusion at Tramps in NYC all the time. I bet you're too young to even know what tramps was! Either way hip hop as a whole is, as corny as it sounds, low brow crap.
