I'm kind of impressed that you can get rid of something like this. I know they're just jeans, but don't they deserve to be kept just for sentimental reasons? I dunno. Maybe I'm underestimating the monetary value of two year old jeans.

This weekend I got my girlfriend drunk on Captain and Ginger at some terrible bar then proceeded to sign her up for karaoke. I thought it would be a disaster, but she totally killed "Separate Ways." Foiled again.

By the way, the Samurai's look really good.

They don't look that tight in the crotch at all, he's just really thin. Actually it almost looks like he has some room in the waist. I'd pull 'em down a lil though.

OK. So I've been off Sufu for a while and haven't really been keeping up to date with what's going on. I find that the more I lurk about, the more money I spend. Anyways, I found myself in NYC this past weekend and stopped by BiG to check out what was new and also have a pair of jeans hemmed. I ended up walking out of there with a new pair of the Warehouse 660's size 27. I'm not thrilled with them. I just don't think I'll wear them as much as I should. I thought about getting them altered to fit a little slimmer in the knee and lower leg, but I'm lazy. For reference, I wear a 30 in PBJ xx-005, 7, and 8. These are NOT the contest edition. The ARE the same jeans though, just a different patch. I didn't even know the contest was happening, that's how out of the loop I was. So anyways, I paid 220ish and would like to get what I can for these. I know the contest jeans were super cheap, so I'm open to offers. These would be perfect for someone who got the contest jeans, but wish they sized down and sold them off.

I'm also a big fan of the barter system, so if you have something neat, lemme know. A jacket, wallet, shoes, a pair of brand new APC New Standards size 28, or a pet you don't love, I just might be interested.

The jeans are brand new, but soaked and dried twice to get all of the sizing out.

I don't own 007s, but I've seen them, and I think it's fair to say that Samurai 0500s approach the 007's level of slubbiness (they are also 15oz--heavy denim, but not one of Samurai's "heavier" denims).

Sadly, my 008s are just not getting that much wear these days. Now that theetruscan has bowed out of the 008 game, is there anybody else working on these things seriously? I've probably put in maybe 30 days of total wear. Any updates out there?

I've been wearing a pair of 008's for a few months now. I think they were shipped to me sometime in August? On and off for a bit, but they're pretty much full time now that my 005's need repaired a little.

Gordon showed me the sample pair about a month ago. They are really really nice.

Yes, the leaf is new and will probably end up on all models. I like it. It was Gordon from BIG's idea and I think it's really cool that a Japanese company would take his advice. Whether or not the Japanese versions will have the leaf, I don't know. I don't think the Levis suit is as big of a deal there so they will probably stick with the blue tab. I could be very wrong though.

My dryer has a static shelf that allows you to lay a pair of pants or sweater down and have the barrel of the dryer tumble around it. You get all the heat, but not any of the abuse the dryer can inflict on more delicate fabrics.

hmm... I thought the Tight Katy was the slimmest. My ex girl had a pair, they're snug. They looked good too. She had about 8 months into them. I just bought her a pair of Pure Blue Japan straight leg two weeks ago at BIG. They were even slimmer than the Nudies. Then we broke up. No pics either, I'm terrible at life.

I'm not sold on the dyed on both sides jeans yet. I'd like to see what a broken in pair looks like. I'm guessing awesome, I just want some confirmation.

I don't think they're ready yet. They look decent, just not good enough to post yet. It would be like taking a picture of a baby right after it came out. You don't want all that afterbirth screwing everything up.

I'm torn. I have a pair of xx-005's with about 8 months of solid wear and one wash. I love the fit, but I was going to start to look at something else to compliment it. I really wish they would put the xx-006 denim on the xx-005 cut. Or least commit to it even if they don't plan on doing it right away. Fuck I'll prolly just buy 'em, "7" was my little league number afterall.
