  1. Hey, I just picked up a pair of New Cures in a chino like salmon colored material (deff. not denim). Does anyone have experience with how much these might shrink? Hopefully not that much as they fit me pretty perfect as they are.

  2. I will try to get some pictures up tomorrow,

    First I've got a pair of Samurai s5000vx sz28, these have both the red tab and the pocket arcs in tact. They have been hot soaked twice to try to get all the shrinkage out of the way. I have worn them fewer than five times, mostly around the house, as the fit doesn't really work for me. The only signs of fading are at the corners of the back pockets, and it is very minimal,

    Waist = 14.25 in across

    Front rise = 10 in

    Upper Thigh = 11in

    Inseam = 36in

    Next, a pair of Skull 5010 6x6 one-wash. I haven't washed or soaked these but have worn them for about a week. honeycomb creases have formed but there is no fading. These have the Red Tab rather than the X

    waist = 14.5

    Front rise = 9.25

    Inseam = 35.75

    I looking to get 220 shipped for the Samurai's and 170 shipped for the Skulls

    PM with any questions

  3. Well, I have put my name on the list for a possible Sammie contest, and if that happens I will take part.

    I would also love to mark myself down for a possible Cane contest - BUT - Sugarcane has, so far, never made a pair of jeans that will fit me (36" inseam). So I can't really show support until I see a size chart.

  4. Does anyone know if there are any shops in New York that carry their stuff? I just saw some of their new collection posted up on hypebeast (I'm ashamed to admit that I was checking hypebeast, but I figure some of you might like to take a look) really love those shoes and the gray cardigan.

  5. So Samurai is designing their jeans with the idea that most of their customers are going to chop off the bottom 4"-6"?

    But then again some customers, like myself, won't cut anything off.

    I can't belive that you guys are acting like your choices are limited due to too long inseams! You can always make them shorter.

    Consider for a second the list of jeans that I can in no way alter to fit: Sugarcane, Flathead, Somet, Warehouse, SDA, Oni, PBJ, John Bull, Full Count, etc, etc, etc

    Boo-hoo to the guy who said he would never buy Samurai because he didn't want to alter them.

  6. How tall are you? And what length you use in other jeans. 34? 36?

    My other jeans are all 36in long, and frankly I would like them all alittle longer. I'm 6'2", but on top of that I have a fairly short torso/long legs relative to most people. I think the inseam is going to be plenty long on these for most people.

  7. I ordered the 5010xx "Long inseam" the day after they were announced, and have had them for a little while now. Sorry about the lack of pictures, i dont have access to a camera today. They are deffinatly slimmer than I expected, but I really like the fit.

    I kinda wish we had requested an even longer inseam though, the leg comes to my heel while standing, but I'm deffinatly showing a few inches of sock while seated. Zero Stacking. I can't decide if it is the perfect length or too short. I may pick up the next larger size so that i can slouch these down a bit.

    Anyway, the jeans are deffinatly great, and skull became my favorite denim co. by making these for us. I'll work at getting some pictures up for you all.

  8. I'm a size 29/36, but I can't find any Sugar Canes in that size.... 30/36 will do as well, but it seems that you have to get a size 38 before the lenght is 36. Can this be right? Is it that way with all the repro companies?

    That seems to just be the way it is with Sugarcane. I'm the same size and have had good luck with Samurai and Flat Head. Skull also makes some of their jeans with a 36 length, and just did a special run of their 5010xx upon the board's request.

  9. samauri's usually come in a 38" inseam and oni's come in 36" which give you a lot of room to work w/

    Again, those are pre-wash inseam lengths, so keep in mind that that is only alot of room to work with if you plan to never wash the jeans

    people always mention that you could dry-clean forever, but does anyone actually do it??
