  1. Yeah Boards of Canada are puar brullyunt. Probably the most interesting band to come out of scotland. Mogwai are +. There are alot of blaaahhh bands, that seem to share similar chord patterns. Early Idlewild is alright, i never liked Biffy Clyro at all. If you're a hyped up dirty three fan looking for a warped celtic edge maybe http://www.myspace.com/shooglenifty ....? who knows.

    edit. Ivor Cutler anyone?

  2. 'thinking outside the box'

'at the end of the day'

    'basically'

Argh, there loads more that i can't think of at present. And i'm glad i can't.

What i could really do without is my brain creating cliches for itself, to think something over in my head before saying it feels like a cliche; reading a certain book, dressing a certain way - producing something (art, music, writing) feels like a cliche because modern society encourages 'creativity' amoungst the common man.

  3. I thought I might raise my hand to the shout-out for Downhillers/Freeriders. Hopefully some more lurkers will speak out and we can branch into our own thread; it's unlikely though. Most mountain bikers seem to be a bit clueless in regard to fashion, ordering most of their clothes from the same site as they purchase their tyres & tubes from.

  4. I was expecting purple to be involved but I don't get the silver. It doesn't seem like them at all, purple and black would have been far more appropriate.

You're living all over me > Where You Been > Without a sound + Dinosaur.... and Bug is pretty amazing too.

    Sebadoh is my obsession.

A decent Sebadoh repro shirt wouldn't go a miss, the one that Kurt wears in the Nirvana photoshoot in Ireland is the best i've seen.

  5. Yeah even if you look at the commentary from the fashion shows from 2004 there were women showing interest in buying the clothes.

It was mentioned ages ago that some petite sizes were made with women in mind, I don't know if they still produce them.

  6. Oh good lord, whyyy are we waaiting. That ^^^ t-shirt rocks.

Can anyone (Cult?) compare the fit of the Nikki Sixx with that of the Black Bullitt? I wear a 30 in the black bullitt but the nikki sixxs have that stretch element, so mabye worth sizing down a size.

    Thanks.

  7. 19".

Uh oh, I think we may have a problem; I'm 6'3" so that inseam ain't gonna' cut it. Are all the inseams standard?

Man i'm 6'3" with long legs, the length was fine, a little bit of folding at the bottom. The length was far less of an issue than i thought it was going to be.

I'm a 30 inch waist in Julian Red and i tried on a 30 in a black Joey at Noir kennedy and the waist was far too big even though the legs were right, but theres no way i could have the back sticking out like that. I'm trying to get a 29, although i havn't tried them on yet.

Is anybody else finding that their Costellos don't taper quite enough? I think its just my legs, because they fade to a sparrow's bellow my knee.

I'm going to try and get the altered.. anybody know how easy/difficult it is to have a suit trouser slightly taken in and how much it might cost?

    Thanks.

  8. Hi Tisswat, thanks very much for the information! I havn't had a chance to check this thread until now.

I've gone through all the links that you posted and all the good events seem to on the dates which I am not there. Ill be there right for the last few days of November.

Apart from the ones you listed are there any particular nice bars or clubs that play good music? (indie orientated).

I'll be on the lookout for Julian Red as well. Do you know anywhere that stocks Wood Wood as well?

    Thanks again.

  9. Haha, yeah this is my dream collection. It's what i base my clothes, although i can get some marked down dior from time to time.

The above list is good, if you can get hold of some cheap mondays in a 36 length... although i'm model height so im still waiting for a pair of dior 05 jeans to appear. Man i want that leather jacket so much.

I think the thing to look out for is length in the arms.. the arms should be as longer than the torso section.

  10. Hey there, i'm going to be in Amsterdam at the end of November.

Does anyone know any specific events which are going to happening at that time? Google didn't come up with much. Preferably Art and Music related....

    Thanks alot.

  11. I don't think anyones mentioned what size inseam April 77 trousers and jeans have? Anyone know? From the looks of them its must be 34" ish

DarkAnimal, im going to Paris in just over a weeks time for a couple of days. I've been searching your posts to try and get some info. Are Noir kennedy and La Boutique the only two stores that stock April77? Did you manage to find anywhere that holds Julian Red?

One more question... who would be the best person to email in regard to April77 and where to find it. Izzy?

    Thankyou.

  12. Dior is the only thing I've found with real inseam, you may have to bite the bullet if you're 6'3. I don't know what my budget alternative would be, regular 501 overdyes tailored really trim perhaps?

I have a pair of cheap monday overdyes 31x36 that i'm using as a dior alternative. Could have done with a 30 really but caliroots didn't have it.

I tried to get some dior cotton trousers on ebay retail £150 or something and they they went up to over £300.

  13. Really, a shorter inseam?!!

I didn't know that. I'm 6'3 so this would not be a good purchase! I thought A.P.C. produced a 35 inseam on all their trousers. Thanks alot for the info and tip dismalfuture.

Gooowd, i need to find something similar to this now. I know that April 77 have just brought out a tight black chino trouser. Any ideas on the price and inseam length of those?

  14. Hi, i'm about to order some of the A.P.C. black, tight cotton trousers (also available in grey/green) http://www.apc.fr/eu/en/fiche_article.php?ref=1C022512283H

From what I gather from previous posts there is a bit of dispute on the sizing. I have never ordered anything from them before so i'll tell you what sizes I am in other things and maybe you guys could help me out. These need to be ordered by tonight really.

So i'm a 30" waist in julian red jeans, a 28/29 in Dior Homme jeans BUT dior did a pant very similar to this and I was a 31 in that.

    At the moment i'm thinking that i'll get a size 30" ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  15. Once you loose the slack, you never go back. Nothing else feels right, and like the other guys are saying anything un-skinny doesnt look right. I wear baggy joggers around the house and baggy trousers for when im cutting the grass or something but thats it.

  16. Did you guys go up or down a size than what you usually get?

You can do both, depends how you want them to fit. The spandex allows you to do whatever. If you want em really tight size down, if a tad slouchy size up or inbetween stay with your normal size. One thing about waist band though, the legs seem to be tight whatever you buy, and its the waist band that will change. I wish i got a smaller size (or my true size) becuase the waistband isnt tight enough really.
