chungdam-dong, right down the street from the galleria at apku-jong, has a lot of the designer boutiques like LV, Gucci, Armani, Jil Sander etc etc. you can find all these brands at the galleria, but it might be worth the walk if you prefer actual separate stores/buildings instead of little sections in dept stores.

Does anyone know where I can get a navy blazer and wool coat tailored? To be more specific, I need everything from the shoulders/waist to sleeves taken in. I realize that just buying new ones that fit might be a financially smarter option, but I really like the fabric/color of both and would prefer to work with what I have.
Anyone have NYC tailor experiences outside of denim?

i agree, the chinese character font on the tag also seems a lil shady.

i'm a sneaker fiend and i must wholeheartedly agree with your comment. not trying to offend anyone here but what's happening to the so-called "scene" is kinda sad.Quote:After reading some of the posts in this thread, I can understand why a lot of people are sick of "the limited sneaker scene"

my personal fav. is oliver ppls... also paul smith (made by oliver). if you're ever in San Francisco, check out a store called underground optical-i think that's what its called- by the chinatown gate... ridiculous deals.

PINK shops usually have a lil bucket full of different cufflinks near the registers. there's a huge variety in colors so finding something that matches a certain shirt/tie shouldn't be too hard, but the shapes are pretty mundane. usually priced around $40.

the only designer "sneakers" i've worn are black leather prada sports with the single velcro fastening piece/strap/thing (more like cycling shoes than sneakers now that i think about it). the soles, by vibram i think, made the shoes pretty heavy compared to my usual nikes but they def. held up pretty well...didn't wear down too much even after 2-3 years of abuse.
one thing tho, i had to break them in unlike other athletic sneakers...and i remember hurting my feet for the first couple days. this was 6 years ago so i'm guessing the designer sneakers that come out these days are better in terms of comfort/construction. hope this helps.

for the nubuck you might wanna try a suede cleaning eraser or maybe even a regular pencil eraser.
