  2. Can anybody give me a couple measurements? I'm going to taper the leg opening on my jeans to a 7.5 but am unsure what width to get from the knee-down.

I'd like to get something similar to Dior 19cm's. I know that the hem is 19cm, but what specific part does that refer to?

That's the biggest concern of mine. What would a good width to have from the knee down to the leg opening be? 7.5 all the way down from the knee?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  3. Stupid noob question. Be forewarned.

So I recently picked up the UO "Tapered" model and like them quite a bit.

My only complaint is that from the leg opening up until about halfway up the calf is a little wider than I'd like. The stacking is basically a little wide IMO.

The leg opening is fine. Not too small or big and the length is fine.

I'm planning on bringing them to a tailor but is there a way they can just taper that specific area without shrinking the leg opening?

I don't know if y'all understand what I'm trying to get at but I basically need to know how to get them tapered without messing up the selvedge line or anything else on them. I've only worn them a few times and would like to get this done before stacks and anything else become permanent.

    Any/all help is appreciated, thanks!

  4. I definitely have a lot of interest in these (specifically the slim-fit pair). My local UO doesn't have them but is expecting them within a week or so.

Hopefully the patch can be removed easily because that's just too big IMO. I'm also hoping those back pockets aren't that big. Hell of a price, can't wait to try them on.

  5. Is there a thread about these yet? I've yet to see anything about them on here through Searches. I'm extremely curious to see if anybody has any pictures of the fitment of them. I'm guessing it'd probably be best to size down two. Probably going to bite the bullet and order in a couple weeks but I'd like some info before ordering.

  6. If I'm in between a 33-34 waist and want to be able to sag a little bit, would going with a 33 for 67 505's be a better bet? Would 34's stretch too much?

Anybody have a leg opening measurement for 33 or 34? Thanks.

  7. 67 505's - What's the best way to go about sizing?

I've never had any luck with 501 STF's. Always too long, too baggy, something goes wrong.

I'd like to order these, hell, maybe even enter the contest but I'm not sure how to go about sizing for these.

My waist is about a 33-34. Would like about a 33-34 inseam.

    * Since they're pre-shrunk, that means no soak is necessary, am I correct? I'd be OK to order a 33/34 (33 is measured 32 1/2 but I figure they'll stretch).

    * Would I be better off sizing down? I'm a bit of a more muscular build, especially my thighs so I wouldn't want anything skin-tight.

Thanks for any help guys, look forward to possibly entering the contest.

  9. Are there any other sites that carry 1947 501's besides Cultizm?

If I'm in between a 32 to 33 waist size, would it be best to order a 34 or 35?

    Is this right?

The 34 is technically a 33 and will shrink to a 31 and then stretch to a 32.5?

Am I correct in that logic? If so, would a 35 be better? All help/comments are appreciated.

I'm not able to try them on anywhere locally so want to be correct the first time.

  10. ^ Those look real nice, especially for the price!

So, I'm back with a couple more questions.

My waist where I wear my jeans is a measured 32-33. 32 if the tape is pulled tight.

    1. Will a 34(33)W/36L '47 501xx post soak be a 32-33W/34L?

    2. Would it be better to go with a 32W over the 34? I like to sag a little bit but don't want them to be too baggy in the waist.

    * I purchased some shitty 501 STF's over the weekend (went out of town and forgot jeans, needed a quick, cheap pair due to the weather).

    * Bought a 34W/36L and right now it's about a 35W/34L right now POST soak.

    3. How big is the leg opening on the '47 501xx? I'd like a bit of stacking (nothing excessive) and am 5'10".

    4. Will a 38L be a better option than the 36L or will that be overkill?

    * The 34L in these 501STF's seems nice but its definitely baggy towards the bottom.

    5. The '47's aren't due to being more of a slim cut, correct?
