  1. I have a pair of size 32 in waiste/32 inch length Levi's Big E, LVC 1947 501XX deadstock jeans for sale.

they are Spring 2006, they have never been worn thought i would wear them and strink to fit but the other pair i did this with didn't fit very well for me. $176 new back then my loss your gain.

These still have all the Levi's tag's on them including the LVC booklet from that year.

I'll take Asking $160 and that will includes shipping by USPS Priority mail to places in United States. Paypal only.

If you have any questions just ask. I have not posted pictures because they are brand new there is nothing to show, no gimmicks and no rip offs these are the real deal they were bought at the Tyson's corner Levi's store in 2006 in Virginia.

if you need pics email me and i can forward you them i don't know how to attach them.

    Thanks.

  2. just got a pair of sd-d01 the other day... they are a slick pair of jeans.

quite a bit fuller fit than the sc hawaii i have but again they are meant to be a more traditional fuller cut., great craftsmanship great fit on them and they cold soaked right down to the tag size, took out a full 2 inches in the waist as advertised. can't wait to start breaking these in, but they are going to be tough, they fell like they are made out of plywood.

  3. i have the hawaii, if you want to get them to stop the crocking a bit faster.. cold soak them a second time even if they are one washes already, and spin them in the washing machine to get the excess water out. i did this not only does it get rid of the ichyness but also made them stop bleeding all over everything from the slightest touch. it does not take out any noticeable color.

  4. ok i'm torn between these two pairs of jeans, and not sure which ones to go with.

i have sc hawaii and they fit great, but the edo ai is supposed to fit different, but it has the buckle back and a great green shade to it.

the sda i tried on and they seem to fit pretty well too, great that its natural indigo so it shouldn't fade too fast, no green tint to it, and again it has the buckle back.

they are both within 20 dollars of each other so price is not really the issue here.. so which one would you pick and why?

seriously i'm not sure which one to get i know i can't go wrong with either, but do the sda's in general fade as nicely as sc?

and no, i can't buy both right now.. i wish i could but can't swing that much cash now.

  5. i have to agree with this person, though the female that works there is speaking english as her second language, all you have to do is be a little patient and just ask her to explain things slowly and you will understand what she is saying.

she is actually very helpful and does understand what you ask for, as far as sizing/brands and what they do and do not have in stock.

so i can't really complain, i got great service when i was there and my jeans were chainstitched and mailed to me right on time as promised.

and since i can't speak another languauge i'm not dissing on her command of the english language at all since it was enough for me to get great service from BIG.

  6. i currently have these as one wash and yes they are like you said itchy and crocking a lot.

but i did notice that when i cold soaked them even after they were "one washed" this make the crocking a little bit less, and the color did not change at all.

    maybe try that again.

  7. i have to disagree with some here, the jomons i have are slightly looser than the lvc 47s i have after they were both soaked and washed a few times. the lvc in the thigh and the waiste is a little thinner and therefore a little tighter.

we are not talking much difference here, maybe 1/2 inch in total on the circumference of the leg and 1/2 inch or less on the waiste but that 1/2 inch makes one jean feel right next to the skin whereas the other one feels just slightly more loose, not much but its a subtle difference.

i personally like the fit of the jomons.. also i have the sc hawaii and this is the cut i was looking for the entire time, not a relaxed cut but just not as slim fit as say the 47s, its a great silouette again the legs are just a bit fuller without the seat being too full.

    good luck.

  8. i have to agree just get them shortened, i have to do this with all my jeans i'm around a 28.5 to 29.5 inseam depending on the jeans, and with the stf style of jeans i usually get lenght 32 and then they shrink down to 29 or so so no shortening needed.

  9. ok i have nudies and a pair of sc hawaii.

i already took off the pocket stitching from teh nudies bc well let's face it, its ugly.

the hawaii, i wore those as 1 wash the other day and i have to say that i don't like the 1 pocket stitching of a flower pattern.. looks sort of cheesy to me. so i'm probalby taking it off tonight.

what are your thoughts? who has taken these off of these denim or other brands?

  10. got my hawaii one washes in the mail the otehr day from big and they shortened them to 29.5 inches inseam, i cold soaked them again to get out even more strinkage before wearing and the leg lenth shrank about another 3/8 inch so almost a 1/2 inch.

take this into account when you get your denim shortened even if they are "one wash" they will still shrik so if if you want to get out that little bit more shrinkage before wearing, cold soak them for a least a few hours, i let them soak for 4 hours. the waiste measurement didn't change at all.

    good luck.

  11. ok here is the deal, i already know that if you get unsanforized denim that you have to cold soak them.

also i know that one washes "supposidly" do this step for you.

what has been your experience with one wash denim? does it shrink even more after you wear them and then wash them again?

reason for this is i got a pair of sc hawaii one washes and they were telling me that they wont' shrink anymore from this point on, at least not majorly like 1 inch in the waiste.

    Is this true?

  12. just wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing, if its denim with denim do it, just make sure that you have the attitude that you like it.

sure some people may not think its cool or may chuckle, but hey what do you want to do? wear stuff you like? or just conform all the time to what everyone tells you what to do?.

there is no right or wrong answer, just figure it out on your own. if you are comfortable wearing denim jackets with identical denim jeans, do it, just make sure you have the right attitude for doing so.

  13. the 47s are great fit if you fit them. slimmer fit but not overly so.

they fade much different than the nudies. they take longer and the contrast over 6-8 months for the same wear is not nearly as much.. they turn a lighter shade of blue and the fade pattern is less noticeable.

the nudies worn identically are more contrasting, the faded areas turn this lighter aqua blue that is really nice. i personally like the nudie fade a lot they have a really great look to them.

however, the 47s i have are just comfortable so i wear them a lot and even though they fade less, its not really a big deal, they will eventually fade more, just give it time. there really is no rush.

  14. hey i posted a review of the jacket i just got hte medium a couple of weeks ago in the type 3, and i wrote that it fits like a larger 38 jacket, meaning when it shringks down it will go to a true 38, its really a slim fit, and since i'm shorter it works out fine, i just had to have the sleeves shortened and its a great jacket.

  15. i have to say i have bought two pairs of nudies from denim bar and mauro and both times he was very professional, would explain the denim and how its made and such. also i bought my second pair after knowing a little more about different rarer japanese repros, like 45, samauri, pure blue, etc and even though he didn't carry them he did say they were made well but that he doesn't stock them.

maybe what was key is that i didn't go in trying to flaunt too much knowledge to him, he's a pretty straightfoward guy, so if you want something in particular ask him, he might not have it but it will end there and he'll suggest something similar. even though they didn't have what i wanted he never pushed me into buying anything or bothered or hassled me about asking for sizes from the back or such.

they may not have some of the more obsure brands like, other stores but theyu do have a wide variety of denim that is better than the local macy's or anything else out there, sure green in nyc has more japanese denim but they are a much smaller store with less stock and its not near me at all.

also, everytime i've emailed mauro he as been very professional and not had an attitude even when i asked him to clarify the differences between denim.

    good luck.

  16. Just got the 67 trucker jacket the other day from the san fran store, if you get it realize that a size medium is roughly a 38-40, it fits like a 38 jacket right now, so if you are a 38 suit size do not get the small it will be too small.

also if you are 5'6" or around that you might have to get the sleeves shortened, i know that they are at least 1.25 inches too long right now, so i will have to get a tailor to move the cuffs up the arms that much the shrinkage will then shrink ti down another 1/2 inch to make it perfect lenght.

othat than that it is a great looking classic jacket, pretty sharp looking and somewhat form fitting so for the medium you really can't have a waist larger than say 31-32 inches tops something to consider.

anyone here have any luck with having sleeves shortened on a denim jacket?

  17. oh damn, i knew i broke them, hey anyone want to buy a pair of just washed "broken" denim jeans? for real cheap?..

serioulsy denimdmylife, i knew that, just wanted to see what type of reaction i would get out of people here... i was expecting a search function direction from someone as the first response.

  18. i just bought the jomons the other day an tried on the natural indigo pure blues, the difference for me was simple - fit.

if i could have gotten the pure blues i would have gotten them and saved the 200, but unfortunately a 30 in the pures was thin in teh seat and waist and was too tight, the next size up the 32 was too large, i then went to 45 rpm and tried on the 30 jomons and they were tailor made for me off the peg only had to the lenght taken up whick they did right tehre, great customer service.. if the pures had fit perfectly like the jamons i wouldn't have gotten the jamons, i was looking fo rthe natural indigo first and foremost and both applied,

  19. i saw the distressed ones in nyc was there the other day, they look nice overall the denim is faded, so instead i got the one wash jomons.

question for those with teh jamons, i washed them cold last night, call me a neat freak but since i knew other people probably tried them over time i wanted to clean them before waring them for 6-8 months with no wash, i know this is a sort of lame question but it doesn't appear that any color was lost, so is it correct to assume that they will break in fine even though i washed them the first day i got them?

    thanks.

  20. the one thing you have to take into account is when somwone says slim or full you have to see it form their point of view and take that into consideration.

for example, i have a slimmer frame that is athletic distance runner/cyclist build so the 47s on me are more liek an easy fit on me, but not a true slim or tight fit..

now on someone like airfrog they might be slim cut bc he has from past pictures appears to be a bigger build more like a powerlifter type of build not a runner build.
