  1. For sale is a slightly worn pair of Atelier LaDurance Royston Selvage size 32 x 33. Bought from Cultizm. I sized down and then gained weight and muscle--my loss, your gain. Warm washed and dried once. All shrinkage should be done.

Slim, tapered cut. Broken twill selvage. All the cool details ALD is known for.

$100 shipped in US. PM me please.

    Measurements in inches:

    Waist - 17"

    Rise - 10.25"

    Thigh - 11.75"

    Inseam - 31.5"

    Hem - 8"

  2. last I heard though someone told me that ALD was no more.....

i asked the guys at cultizm if they could tell me anything. all they said was ALD is "facing some challenges" doesn't sound good.

i own the royston and prescott, and i don't think that ALD prices are too high because no other brand makes a jean that's similar in both design and material. (confession: i only own them both because i got them on sale, but i would have bought the prescott regardless and i hardly ever buy jeans full price.) it might be a bit of an ego boost for me if their production was centered in europe, but ultimately it's the jean itself that matters. i guess i don't make my denim decisions based fully on brand experience.

can anyone confirm that their stuff is produced in china? i may have missed the citation.

  3. I bought these shirts from APC on Melrose, but don't feel like having them tailored to fit. They have been worn and washed once. Retail was around $150. I'm asking $75 shipped.

Click the thumbs for large versions.

  4. yah, the lack of organization at am rag makes me not want to dig through the racks for sale items. probably worth going though. they had a small table full of jeans at 50% off. some nice helmut langs, but not in my size.

  5. i forgot to mention that barney's in beverly hills has a ton of stuff on sale. a raf and helmut piece here and there and some other stuff rich people beast over.

  6. ^ congrats but those 2 lens suck, sell them and get a 50/1.8 instead.

the 50/1.8 may be a good lens, but that doesn't seem like the best advice for a beginner. those two lenses cover a wide focal range. that'll help him figure out what he likes to shoot the most, which will determine what his next upgrade will be. i don't see the point in limiting yourself right off the bat. maybe to focus on "fundamentals," but i don't know if he'd really be better off that way.

sunkenshoes, sounds like you're out of luck. there's no way you can repair the sensor yourself and i'm sure it'll cost a bundle to have it replaced. good luck.

  7. wow

chance anything good left this friday?

which store did u go to, melrose or sm?

sale was only at the sm location, i think. there was a lot of good stuff last friday. don't know about now. I think the sale is going on until this coming sunday. Most everything on sale, but like dude said above, they put some stuff away. they left out the w+h but didn't put it on sale. that was kinda shitty. anyway, worth checking out. idk if/when the melrose location will go on sale.

  8. there were smalls and mediums in NdG shirts when I was there. They had everything in s/m which is pretty strange this late in the season

isn't the ndg store in ny? i thought you were in la poly? or are you talking bout a different store?

  9. i really didn't give it any thought until a friend of mine showed me some deal where you can pick up the 20d for 500.

is trading my xti worth it?

probably not. you get fewer megapixels (8 vs 10) so if you want to crop or blow up you'll have less flexibility,. maybe mp's don't matter to you though. the screen is much smaller and lower res on the 20d. as far as camera IQ goes, i don't know that it's any better because it's about 2 years older than the xti. i would think the only real advantage of the 20d over the xti is the build quality. maybe someone else has a different opinion, but as a casual shooter, i would say stick with the xti and learn how to use it before moving on to semi-pro gear.
