Note that the D40/x has no AF motor so if you get that 50mm/1.4 prime you're going to have to manually focus it.

I recently ordered a D40x based on sufu recommendations and ordered from B&H. Price was about the lowest and it's nice knowing that the camera will be new, under warranty, and will actually arrive (so many NY scam sites out there).

If money is a concern, you can get some Lands' End tailored dress shirts for $30 each that fit well (close but not tight). They may be a touch too long for your tastes if you wear it untucked (something that I do not do), but it shouldn't cost too much to only shorten them.

i've had terrible luck with maxtors. they die on me frequently. used to use them all the time since they were cheap, but after 10 years of problems (94 - 04), i stopped. western digital fared a bit better, but i've been beating a seagate 400GB and 250GB for a year and a half now, no problems. the only good thing i can say about maxtor is that they're good about honoring the warranty and ship fast.

madgrad- you're lucky to be slender enough to pull off plaid. i see lots of people wearing it who just shouldn't.

Got these jeans from cchen a week ago. They don't fit me so I'm re-selling them, now at an even lower price. $40 shipped (within US) obo. New with tags, never worn (aside from us trying it on), never washed. I was sad that they did not fit but I need to recoup some of the money to get jeans that do. PM if interested or if you desire more measurements or pictures. The actual measurement on these jeans is 32x31 but the tag says 27x31.
