tigergrowl do you like wild cherry or pacific cooler?

i'll send you a whole box of liquid cool for one of those tees fraulein

don't know how i feel about doing business with an oreo hater though

    on topic

    uniqlo two wash

    jolly roger tee

    shiny toenails

  2. lookin really good miz

i love the collar and pocket patterns

stitching looks so fresh and so clean

with the waist and sleeves taken in and shortened a bit and a couple of donuts on the front you'd have a good approximation of my ideal jacket

    good work

that jacket is fresh to death

  3. also co-sign on kitano's take on zatoichi

the movie was a lot of fun and an interesting departure if you've watched the old movies

also not new but definitely see grave of the fireflies if you've not

i'm not too keen on crying but i was in pieces by the end of that one

  4. Now I am a Scarlett Johansson fan, she is a great looking girl, but I was never been obsessed like many are. Putting that aside, did anyone else literally fall in love with her in this film, like it hurts to not be watching it over and over again?....her presence in the movie is fucking amazing; oh dream woman, when will you and Natalie Portman become lesbian lovers and move to Silicon Valley together?

personally she won me over in lost in translation

    co-sign scarlett / natalie simultaneously

i 100% endorse nobody knows and match point

i also very much enjoyed closer

i liked audition but i think the pacing was a bit too lopsided for my tastes

i don't think it's fair to compare it to saw at all (which incidentally was probably the worst movie i've ever seen until hostel came out)

i wrote my term paper on oldboy for one of my cinema classes last term

i also really enjoyed sympathy for mr. vengeance

i've become a fan of park chan-wook's pacing and cinematography

    any thoughts on lady vengeance?

i've been meaning to see it but i'm wondering if it's worth going out of my way to watch right now

also it's not that recent but if you were ever a child and ever had friends i vigorously recommend chingoo(friend)

sonatine by beat takeshi also painted a poignant picture of yakuza ennui

damn i can't believe i missed this thread until now

    thanks for all the recommendations

  5. favorite on console

    chrono trigger

    ffvii

    tekken 4 and 5

    metal slug

    mgs

    top arcade games

    smash tv

    x-men arcade

    the simpsons

    turtles in time

title fight (the boxing game with the plastic glove joysticks)

i also thought shadow of the colossus, manhunt, smash bros and the silent hill games were rad

  6. Here's my daily eating schedule as it is now:

Breakfast: 3 eggs and 2 pcs of toast, glass of oj

    Lunch: 1 1/2 - 2 chipotle burritos

Dinner: a pizza, two salads and some olives

i eat more than a starved sumo wrestler whos got the weed munchies

i'm not going to tell you to eat more or criticize your body type

but i easily eat more than twice as much as that every day

and i'm not trying to put on weight

(though i do have about thirty pounds on you)

and i may not be a sumo wrestler but i have demolished upwards of a crave case when the munchies hit

anyway i would go abroad 100%

    brazil thailand or france

or greece too if you're white

i'd always like to go to japan, but with a bigger roll than two grand for sure

  7. i like the way the hip atari are starting to look

it might be the light but yours look a little lighter than mine

    did you hot wash them?

i've gotten caught in the rain twice with mine and had one cold handwash after a particularly drunken evening

i've been impressed with how well the denim holds the whiskers even after washing though

    also vagabond is amazing

vying with ippo for favorite comic of all time

  8. miz, do you know where i could find a barebones futon set around nyc / nj?

i like futon better than springed beds and my new apartment is tiny

my cousins have some they copped in nippon for like 12000 yen for shikibuton kakebuton and pillow

but i've only been able to find online stockists here and the markup leaves a bad taste in my mouth

  9. anyone know of a shop stocking seven stars cigarettesin the tri-state?

i got hooked on these back when they sold them at yaohan / mitsuwa

they stopped importing them i guess two years back and part of me died

i even called up japan tobacco international's office in the u.s. and they told me that the company does not import them

i picked up a few cartons last time i was in asia

but no one i know is headed to japan this summer

if not i'll probably ask derrick but i imagine customs would be out of control

if you're even allowed to send cigs
