Thanks for the love everyone.
I have had this jin since May 2006. Its 4th year birthday is coming soon. As far as how much wash.....I think I have it washed twice a year. Seven months will be the longest time that I keep it out of water.
I mean after the first year. You pretty much don't care as much.
"Just Wear IT"...haha Nike slogan
P.S: I just drop off my pair in SESF. And picked up a 3sixteen 28 SL-200X!

we can only hope her pants split as she picks up her purse. but for cheap vs expensive denim 2 they should through some selvage in there. maybe compare blueingreen and selfedge to old navy
Exactly....They should have said it "Expensive Designers Denim". However, their care section at the end is more informative.

xpost from self edge x imperial thread
hai guis, becoz i luf u aw
size 31 SExI04
I'm about 5'11 @ 162lbs
Kopped around 3/20/2008
soaked at 6 month, 9 month~
wash at 12 month, 18 months~
Patched twice
alligned the crotch by sewing the button hole smaller
been to Cali, NY, HK, TW, Beijing, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan
I'd say color is fairly accurate, though I am hesitant to give it another wash. need a new indigo pair to throw in the rotation
I really want to get something like this in the summer? Any suggestion from Self Edge? I can only think of 3sixteen SL-200x ($195 this is closer to my budget)and SEXI 108 ($345 kinda expensive).
Also this is my worn out Jin before going to Self Edge for repair.

Hi Kiya,
I'm in the business of getting the 3sixteen SL-200x from your place. I am looking for a fit between my S0110XJ and the New Cure. My true waist is between 28-29. I saw you have a pair of 28 left in the online-store. I read it will shrink only .5" in waist and inseam. And then it will sketch out up to 1.5" in waist. How about the tight and leg opening?
Do you think this is "the jeans" in between my two pairs?
Any more suggestions?
Thanks for your time.

This jean has been jamming my adventure toward a new pair. So I am selling it to wonder into the world of PBJ maybe.

I understand. Just that it is too tight to withstand anymore. I has wearing it on and off a year already. My conclusion is it doesn't fit my life that's all.

ryu has said that there is no right way or wrong way to wash your jeans. just like there is no right way or wrong way to wear your jeans or to do things in your jeans.
ringring, serge and a couple others have been saying this in one form or another for a long time. my favorite post of ringring's is "they're just jeans."
if you see ryu's new pair of jeans, it's a pair of joe mccoy's that he is treating very differently--he's washing much less frequently, he toned down his activities. the results are very different from his sugarcanes, but also beautiful in a different way.
I agree.
Do these if you are brand new
1. Find your ture waist,
2. Buy the fit you want,
3. Knowing basic upkeep (pre soak, shrinking...etc)
4. Toast out all your previous jeans (selling donating...etc) Save a pair of black and a slim fit ( or something standard if you are buying slim fit raw)
5. Try to stack to your raw as much as it is your second skin....sleeping, biking, skateboarding, construction work.....etc. Basically live you life instead of sitting in front of your computer 24/7 posting pictures every month,
6. After a year, you can come back and start sharing.
Basically it is a scary thing at first but it will be all good after the first successful pair. Live your life with your pair of jeans. If you work in office environment, walk some more with your jean when you get a chance. Help people to move their furniture....etc. Find more ways to make your knee bend. If you have a happy active life, your jeans will tell you that.

thanks for the advice. theres a pair in the supermarket thats a tag 29 (sized down one for me) but the actual post wash waist is a 26...will they stretch enough if my true waist is a 30.5? seems like they shrunk more than expected or something
Are you sure it is tag size? My Jin has always shrunk to tag size +/- a decimal places in inch. Remember, Sammy's shrink to tag size. Measurement in raw is another story. Also read samurai about how they measure a pair of jeans.

I got an impending crotch blowout on my nudies as well, but since my jeans are black, I'm just gonna tell my mom to sew on a piece of denim underneath on the inside with some black thread. Either that or whatever my mom suggests is the most discrete. Since my mom used to be a tailor, I trust her, I'll post pics when it's done.
If your mom did a great job, get your mom a union special machine. Then she can have a business herself.

I say go one down ... I started on a pair of 32s (true waist size) and then went to 31s ... much nicer fit with the 31s.
I agree ! Size one down. It will looks better than mine while it is sketch out. Also I find the honey comb is not easily develope in this pair. May be going one size tighter will help too. If you cannot even fit in Raw, it is going to be very tight and unconfortable. Before first wash is gonna be harsh on your leg cus it is like card board. Once you have a first wash, it will become very comfortable.
