  1. Anyone remember Line Magazine from the very early 2000's? It was put out by Tyler Brule (Of Wallpaper*) and only published 3-4 issues.

I'm looking for a copy of it. I know this is a super obscure/rare request, but I figured someone might be a magazine collector on Supertalk.

  2. wtf @ people censoring out there faces. Do you work undercover for the CIA or ss your self-esteem really that low? If I have the confidence to show what I'm wearing today, some of you can at least show your mug.

    Commentary (Left-to-Right):

    1. The Beautiful print of my Zulu-man shirt. This is straight vintage, 1970, right out of Grandma's attic. 2. The sleeves are not part of the shirt. They are the bottom half of 2 sweatshirt arms that got cut-up during a night of "Drunken Arts'n'Crafts". 3. Specially ordered Bert Pulitzer brand leather loafers. By specially ordered I actually mean "Bought at Sears". His very prestigious sounding name is proudly displayed with a green tag. 4. Bert Pulitzer again. 5. My Lifeguard hat from St. Pete beach. I've never been to St. Pete beach, I stole this hat. 6. It's hard to tell, but I'm making a mean face to show how serious I am about fashion. 7. Back of the toga/zulu thing.

  3. Handpaint them actually, I've done a couple others and they look excellent with some superthin leather paint I order. The paint doesn't wear and it goes on thin enough to keep the material smooth and natural, allowing the grain of the leather to stay true.

  4. Vahid, the Crimson/pink/black color combo is my favorite as well, so it will definitely be in some revisions of this design I'm doing. Thanks for taking the time to comment, buddy, I really appreciate some outside opinions and thoughts on this stuff other than "WACK" from artificialsky. :P

  5. Nope, link me up to the Vans stuff.

I gotta agree with the hawaiin print shirt thing. It's actually a modified camo pattern, the "Trees", they're actually just regular vegitation. Parsley, if you will :P So I'll probably ditch that aspect all together.

I couldn't care about the nike swoosh being blatant or not. Nike does a good job making sure its logo is always visible, on all its shoes, all its commercials. I think I can play with it here and not worry about it. It's not like someone is going to be confused because the logo has a bird sillouhette over it.

Vahid, also, it will look fine on the curved surface and across multiple piece of leathers. You might think it's a concern, but it's not, I've done it before and it simply adds to the aesthetic. It may be interesting to keep the trees in one piece of leather though, to treat them like a panel, I will work on that idea.

If ya'll have any designs or ideas you think might be cool, hit me up. I'm going to resell these after they're printed, so if I use your design I'll give you the base-Dunks price, nothing more than a white pair would cost.

Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate the criticism. I wouldn't want to waste my time and a pair of shoes on this.

  6. Not really, I don't have any investment in this, I just do it to beef up my portfolio. Like I said, I was (am) still skeptical of its ability to succeed. The stuff is ridiculously expensive and the styles are a bit lame, however there's some real quality and money put INto the clothes.

But the clothing does exist. Kinda silly to doubt that.

  7. Top: American Eagle Sweatshirt. Zipper has been hand-superglued because it's broken and doesn't stay zipped otherwise.

Bottom: IZOD pajama pants w/ draw string and openable fly (no button). From Walmart.

    Underwear: No

    Socks: No

    Right Foot: Shox

Left Foot: Some old Max Air's

Belt: Ammo Belt. Uncle Jack gave it to me.

    Coat: Wilson's Leather Bomber Jacket.

From left to right: 1. I am casually taking a snapshot. I know I look fly, but I keep it chill and remember "Cool never declares itself" 2. I'm mean muggin that mirror real hard! Grrr! 3. Backside. 4. Torn shoe. I still wear them anyway. Cause I'm from the street and stuff.

  8. Sorry, just thought I could add some insight. I'm doing interactive for theKDU and SVSV, it's not like I'm some passive consumer trying to gain fashion points with strangers on the internets.

  9. No, I'm completely joking about the sweatshirt. It's one of the shittiest copies I've seen...I mean look at the ape faces, they're not even recognizable, just blobs. It's hilarious.

  10. That bape tag with the yellow face is a dead give away actually. I found that site "how to spot a fake BAPE" from another supertalk thread. Seems kinda obvious now.

  11. Thanks again Mr G. I just really wish I could find that style in the green camo, even if Pharrell is tainting it. The Red one looks like a santa clause coat, as my room mate said :(

  12. That's just what I was wondering really, if the style is even a legit BAPE one. I live in the Midwest, I doubt anyone could tell the diff anyway, even the foreign exchange students ;)

Thanks for the advice though, I'll probably just shell out for one of the red camo jackets with the white fur trim. They're expensive, but I like them.

  13. Not trying to be combative, but what looks fake about it? I'm pretty ignorant about BAPE stuff, so I can't tell the difference. :[ The prices were about $120-$170
