  1. Milspex and Minya are totally on point. The quality of Supreme products are superior. Do they warrant the price? That is for the consumer (hypebeast or afficionado) to decide.

BTW think of the US Army, and think whether these basterds select their goods based on quality or price? There are some of wonderful quality, and there are pieces that is complete shit. And don't even get started about the fit.

  2. Just got back from Taiwan today. Can anyone host pictures? I can email them over, just give me an address. I can throw them up but it will take some time.

    1. Quality is there, workmanship is not. The cuffs are entirely off. The fit is decent at best. CYC uses a very stiff material, and thus sits better across the shoulders. The stuff we are using is great qualit but just hangs.

    2. Thermal is not quite as well ventilated as supreme. I wore the new on around for a day and found myself constantly removing the sweatshirt because of the heat. The supreme I brought back never gave me the same problem.

    3. Our sweatshirt is much warmer. I noticed that in the evenings going through the night market.

That's all I can say for now. I have the sample in blue and have pics of it compared to my supreme brown large.

  3. the reason why the return process is taking so long is that the product was sent with insurance, but not tracking. i requested JDM to send a letter confirming non-recipet before returning the money. if i return the money and i do not have a letter stating the item was not recieved i cannot collect the insurance. i believe that what i am asking for is not completely out of the question. and i have answered his emails. i understand JDM's plight, but what he says is false. i have records all of our email correspondances and have proof of what i have said above.

  4. I have a business partner. He is kicking in about 10,000 grand. I am in the process of selling a few watches to give this endeavor a shot.

I called CYC through the number I found on yahoo. That did not go anywhere, but then again I am sure they get a munber of calls fishing for information, instead of willing to conduct business.

  5. thats a hundred hoody. it was sa collaborative effort with usugrow. it was made for this pass season, and has pretty much sold out. the graphic is mad hot.

btw-a got a black faconable polo. these fit the best.

  6. Minya is right. The Supreme is mad dope. I got the Brown in the large for $240 and walked out of there like I robbed the place. The last time I was at Supreme, about two weeks ago, they only had the black.

These jackets are warm, not parka bulky, and fit well. Give supreme a call, and if they have it, I wouldn't mind picking it up. I am around the area at least once every two weeks.

  7. I own a 2002 Audi a4 1.8 quattro. It is a nice car, but up until I got the car chipped there was a turbo lag. There has not been a major problem. I purchased the car, and wished I leased it because I would like to get a new car but cannot justify it with the Audi running great.

My mom has a 2004 330 and it kicks the shit out of the Audi.

My sister has a 2003 Honda Accord and it kicks the shit of the Beemer.

But, when it rains the Audi is solid. Oh, the interior of the Audi is way better then the e46, and e90 3 series. Audi has the interior market locked, hands down.

Problems I have had are all related to wheels. I run 19s, and make sure you get 235/35/19 tires, any less and expect cracks and bends. I ran 225/35/19 for a while and spent over 600 on fixing bends.

If you stick with stock rims you will be fine.

Oh, the moon room acts funny sometimes. It will close on its own. Other then the moon roof there are no complaints. I blew on Air Flow Meter once, but that might have had something to do with it being chipped and driving 130mph in the California heat. Either way the problem was fixed by Audi free of charge. Last thing, COIL PACKS. I have had one coil pack failure, but again this was serviced by Audi.

My mom has not had one problem with the BMW, aside from the oil light coming on for no reason.

And my sister never had the problem with the accord, plus it's not scheduled for maintenance until 100,000 miles. And thats just to oil the timing belt (which is metal by the way).

  8. This is not internet brand streetware. In fact I really would prefer that it has nothing to do with streetware, instead it is thought of as a quality good. the only reason why I mentioned streetware is because I know a few people who are in the industry, and that this is thread is appearing on Superfuture.

In fact the impetus for this was that a good friend of mine saw my supreme sweatshirt and wondered if it was possible to have that type of quality without the "fuck tha police" tag. I took him to American Rag and he didn't like the look and feel of the Richard Kidds, The Casts, and Spruce.

Since he runs a successful buisness he thought it would be something worth looking into.

In the end we just believe that there has been a growing need for a high quality and more importantly accessible sweatshirt.

My only concern at this point is that the product falls into the hands of someone who appreciates and expects quality.

I understand that the item is produced in Taiwan, and that this is a stigma that is will be an inferior good. But, you should only speak if you are aware of Taiwan's history as an exporter. Quality items come from Taiwan, just as much as pieces of shit coming from the Swiss (or whichever country that has a positive stereotype of producing high quality goods).

Do I expect to knock out Supreme? Not the slightest. I will continue to buy from them.

And if I have construed this to be streetware, in any way, I want the record to reflect that the idea of streetware was never intended. What I meant is that I would like to produce an item that is high quality and accessible.

Again, I apprecaite all the comments, whether they are negative or positive, they are ideas and opinions I apprecaite. I think this site is incredibly insightful, and that negative comments are beneficial.

  9. I am getting the consumer's opinion, and if that is a deterance from streetware, so be it. However, I value every opinion. As for employing the opinion, that's a different story.

The sweatshirts are going to be thick and heavy, thermal lined, and will have dual zippers. The idea is to make a sweatshirt that will last several years. For my visit next week I will be visiting the mill and selecting the material to use. I should have sample pics up next week while I am in Taiwan.

Thanks for all the suggestions and all the support.

  10. The website will be available for those that want to purchase one sweatshirt. Wholesales will be dealt with over the phone. Like I mentioned I have quite a number of friends in the streetware industry, and that should open a lot of doors. I know that the liklihood of this succeding is slim, but I just want to give it a try.

  11. I understand that ramifications of selling the hoodies in April. It is not the soundest idea. But, it is not because of the lack of business acumen. I have owned my own coffee shop, and have worked on various ecommerce based businesses.

The product is not going to change. It's a simple hooded sweatshirt. Whether I push them now or wait until August does not change the fact that they are a hooded sweatshirt. The reason business is conducted now is because it takes approximately 2 months to complete production. Ordering 500 is so small that the people I spoke to could not, or are not willing, to dedicate that much man-power to production. Since this is all hand sewn the can only dedicate a few hours to our project at a time, thus the long wait.

However, the plan is to get a few quality samples and then visit start shopping around. Hopefully the sweats will be picked up for a few fall lines. I want to support the independent companies out there with this endeavor, however I am not doing this for the run of the mill t-shirt printer. This product is being produced for those who want and expect quality, and unfortunately there is a premium.

I appreciate all the comments and thanks again for reading.

The cost to me is arround $30. Wholesale is priced at $40, but will be lower depending on the amount. A website should be up. And the cost for them there will be at $50.

  12. KANE-Thanks for the info. If you can give me a number to call I will try again.

Update-Sample is coming should be here soon. I will be sure to post pics. My semester break is next week, it is referred to as reading week in law school. I will be using it for this ventue. I will be flying back to Taiwan to do some site seeing, but mainly to get an idea of how production is to go. I will be visiting the mill, as well as seeing how the garments will be produced. Is there anything I should be looking for, or asking about.

I was told to use riri zippers, and will be asking about that while I am there, aside from that I don't know about any other specific questions.

  13. Shipping takes anywhere from 1 week to 2 and a half weeks.

If you are ordering dunks there is a chance that they will cancel your order with notifying you. Other products are susceptible to this too, but dunks are really popular off of the site and when there is a sale they take more orders then the can handle.

  14. KANE-Does that price include shipping? If i can get CYC hoodies for $40 shipped then I would drop the entire project. This was just an idea that I have been running with, but from the time spent I realized all the factors that go into creating the project. After weeks of going back and forth will production managers I don't think a 500 minimum is ridiculous any more.

  15. The sample will be coming in later next week.

I called in yesterday and was told that the fit is pretty much the same as the supreme hoody. It is slightly heavier, but the construciton is the same.

Here is some production informaiton for you. We are purchasing matering from a mill in Taiwan that supplies material to Japanese distrbutors. I was told that the material we selected is commonly used by man Japanes brands. I was assured that we can expect a higher quality.

The material is cut at a factory. My family will then take the material and send it to be handsewn. There isn't a company that does such small numbers in Taiwan, and thus my family have found independent contractos to do the sewing. That explains why I can only promise around 100 sweatshirts a week.

Ok, now I need to send a sample of a medium or small to Taiwan. Is there a particular cut of medium and small that SF prefer. If not, then I will be sending in my Supreme medium to Taiwan, and using some Jerzee small as our sample.

The goal is to provide the sweats to high end indie brands, and if they cannot cough up $40 for a quality hoody then I guess we will be stuck with 500 sweatshirts. There will be no labels, but I have decided to take the advice of a SF and print a distinc sizing tag (it will probably have SML, and chinese characters reflecting the same, and washing instructions).

There will eventually be a website. I have some ecommerce experience and this should be up and running a week after I get confirmation that the sweatshirts are in production.

I am giving myself 2 months to move 500. If it can be done then I will throw caution in the wind and do other colors. And if that can go well for one season, then you can expect some really reckless crazy shit.

Thanks for the interest, and I hope I have addressed your questions and concerns.
