Going to london in may. I already have a long list of things and places but I want to get a top travel guide to use for a back up. What's the best/coolest guide? Time out? Any help would be great. Cheers.

No, I mean, I love buk. I'm reading post office as we speak and ham on rye is one of my all time faves but he's too outsider-ish for what I'm talking about. Before I edited my post I had said something like plum sykes books untill I read reviews her her books. (I just knew of her from vogue. Never read her works. My girl was telling me about them.) But maybe the idea was the right one. I'm not looking for vapid shallow or poor lit. Just something that involves shop/brand culture or just a hipper lifestyle that a guy who reads/posts on superfuture would be able to ident with.

So, I'm just wondering if anyone knows any good books, from a mans pov, that are about fashion, city life, clubs, shopping, and/or hip culture. Any help or sugs will be great. Thank you.

UPDATE... there is a new pic of weller wearing the same shoes in this months Q magazine. must be aprils issue. (the one w/ dylan on the cover). of the shoes (that i could find) that weller designs, i couldnt find this certain pair. im dying to get them. thanks for the help so far. any new info would be great. cheers.

I'm gonna give um a shot. The smoke shop down the street from my flat usually sells gitanes but they we're out of them when I went in so I ended up getting a pack of de mauriers (canada). Not too bad but I'll still try others.

Of course I'm smoking them. Look... Flavor wise, I think I could get use to anything. Its just that, if I'm gonna pay a premium price for imported cigs... I want them to LOOK imported. Its not that there is anything wrong with them. Its just not what I'm looking for. This may sound stupid but, they just don't look "french" enough. That's all I'm really interested in.

I figured in such a cool country that smokes so much, there would tons and tons of cool cig brands w/ really "french" looking labels w/ names ending in x and visions of the left bank and wine and attitude... So... What brands are there? (Other than the ones stated.) I'm sick of parliament ultras. I do love them so, but its getting old. Dunhill internationals were cool for a min but now every div, knob, hipster, and middle-easterner is doing them to death. So... What's your opinion on french cigs?

Vespas and Lambrettas... The major dif now a days, vespa continues to make modern scooters. Lambretta went out of business sometime in the 70s I think. They just got bought up by an american company and SHOULD be putting out a scooter sometime next spring. If you were in the market for a vintage scooter,the major dif is that parts for vespas are easier to get. Looks wise, I personally think pre 1970 vespa look best. I happen to own a 1961 vespa vnb. Looks the BUSINESS! The lambrettas have a straight non moving front fender. I do love the lines on lambrettas and would take one over ANY vespa px series anyday. But for me... 60s vespa styling is the only way to go. Look for the swooping front fender and the the wide, rounder side cowls. Top scooters for top lads.
