  1. I got this on gilt before they sold out. It's a cool umbrella, I just changed my mind. I think I want to get an Oertel umbrella instead. I posted on ebay starting at $95 because they wouldn't let me put a Buy it now option on it. If you want to buy it now I'll take it down for $110. It comes with a lifetime gaurantee and an option to have loss prevention insurance. It's new in the box, never used.

  2. i guess your right. i don't see where i would use it. i was reading up on them and noticed that a lot of the machines now offer that as a feature but personally no i guess i don't see myself using it enough to have it. im not really sure about the computerized stuff. i mean i don't know where the standards start. really i'm just trying to get some more information on the features that i would need to last me a long time(definitely through art school). what kind of price difference is a there for a regular sewing machine versus a good industrial machine? i will definitely check out some refurbished ones and this thread, thanks for the idea.

    -thanks everyone

  3. im interested in buying a sewing machine. anyone have any informative sites/books that can instruct me on how to best go about choosing one to meet my needs? or if there are any designers out there willing to talk me through some of the basics it would be appreciated. mostly i do fashion illustrations but i'm feeling like the time has come that i get down to business.

    -thanks

  4. so... those are size 29. be real, what size do you think i would be in a.p.c. new standards? im asking cuz' some guy on ebay is selling some 29w and i asked him if he was getting rid of them because they were too big or too tight and he responded, "i wear a size thirty and they seem a little tight but i think they would fit you fine. they would probably fit a little baggy". he was obviously being vague trying to suit my interest without knowing what they were hoping i would just buy them. i'm really particular about how my jeans fit though and i'm not spending a wad of money only to find they make me look like i shit my pants.

  5. okay.

i'm sure the answer is probably somewhere on this site... but honestly i have been sifting through all these pages and have become more confused than i originally was. im trying to figure out what size i would be in a.p.c. new standards. i wear about a 30 u.s. in HnM. the last pair of jeans i bought were size 28 u.s.from Reuhl. i usually buy jeans that are slim cut and fit snug. i don't want them hanging off my ass but i don't want to crush myself putting them on either. if anyone owns these and can help me figure it out i would appreciate it so much.

    -thanks, chris
