  1. I'm selling a new pair of S5000vx that have been hot soaked but not worn. These were going to be my next project but I need the money for books this semester. I had the jeans hemmed at Blue in Green. After soak the inseam measures 35" and the waist is 16 inches across. I am looking to get $200 plus shipping.

  2. Number 12 College Station/Austin, TX

I wore these jeans pretty much every day except in August and September when it got too hot/humid. I washed them probably 4 times and soaked them 3 or 4. Most of the wear came from working on cars and normal college life. I picked up a sugarcane belt while in Japan in December which has about 11 months of wear in the pictures.

Does it make you feel better about your jeans if you put other peoples down? Who cares if he pinched them or you don't like them. Everyone here has that first pair of dry jeans that they washed too early, pinched the combs, or just gave up on to soon. Rather than put someone down and scare off new people why not help someone or maybe steer someone from nudies to a nice pair of japanese jeans.

  4. I just came back after a 33 day vacation in China, Japan, and Korea.

My pants smell like jalapenos and they were damp/moist/wet whatever you will, EVERYDAY. Raws in a humid environment probably have better progress than those in a dry environment-- see tommyhibbs (is your part of texas humid?), polyrock, and CHEEP as some examples... sweat sweat sweat. At night, I can't even take my damn pants off without a struggle.

I'll post some pictures when I get a chance to sort through them. That, and my sammies are going to Disneyland in 1 hour. Hihi familytime.

Yeah its pretty humid here. I just checked the weather and today were looking at about 77 percent humidity.

  5. sorry, tommyhibbs' i mean...but you gotta put more wear from now till november...

Honestly I'm not really too concerned with winning the competition. I just think its kind of cool that we can all share our experiences wearing the same pair of jeans.

Oh and my belt is just a raw leather sugarcane belt that I got a couple months after the contest started.

  6. nice, what kind of belt is that?

    Its a sugarcane belt.

The bottom left corner of my left back pocket is coming unstitched and starting to come up. I also used fabric glue to put a piece of denim behind the hole from my wallet that I'm thinking about sewing in. I like how the patch jobs give the jeans one more little personal aspect. Nice work beatle.

  7. I like to consider myself more of a lurker rather than a noob. One of these days ill get around to posting up pictures of the rest of my projects that I have been working on in the past. The belt is the sugarcane belt I picked up in Japan.

  8. Oh no I found plenty of denim here but I still wanted to check out Take5 and any other place with japanese denim. My sister is trying to find some japanese denim but were having no luck finding geishas or any other pair that fits her well, thats why I was wondering where to look in Hong Kong. She is also looking for a fake Bape hoodie thats why I was asking about fakes.
