  1. I am selling my Etudes ultra jacket, which is waxed with an american native blanket as a lining. The collar as well as the sleeve lining are in corduroy.

    The hood is removable.

The size is S but it fits more like a M or an oversized S.

I wore it a dozen of times. It is simply not my style so this is why I am selling it. I bought it for 420€ and I am willing to sell it for 190€, excluding shipping.

Do not hesitate to contact me for any information regarding the jacket.

  2. I am selling my JM Weston loafer. Unfortunately, they are too narrow for my feet, so wearing them is painful.

Size is UK6.5, width is C. They come with two dust bags. I bought them at the JM Weston store of Madeleine.

They are worth 475€ (approx. 590$) brand new, my price is US$375.

I wore them couple of times only.

Shipping price is included for Canada. For other countries, feel free to ask

Should you need any further information, let me know.

  5. Ok my bad, I thought the info came directly from the brand, even though a shop should know the history of the brand they sell, like you Kiya for example.

@Happy Hooligan I'm not saying everyone should have read Full Gear but Hypebeast should have double-checked before writing so.

  6. I know that but it seems so weird that Buzz Rickson even has even tried to say that they provided the US Army.

Just trying to rationalize, I guess.

    Maybe too much.

It's more easier for me to picture Hypebeast misunderstanding what people from Toyo would say actually.

How can people think it's true, seriously ?

  7. I guess its mistranslation. Tom from Toyo speaks a very "particular" English…

Toyo provided US bases in Japan with imported gears, including denim pants and flight jackets.

I guess this is what was meant originally, but dumb guys from Hypebeast did not stand back to think about it.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I do not understand why BR would try to make consumers believe they supplied the US Army during WW2.

  8. those aren't jeans in the accepted sense they are ranch pants made of denim. look at the belt loops. plenty of ranchmen around here wear a similar man's model made in khaki with those style belt loops. i'd like some myself but all i find are poly/cotton blend models.

    Thanks Colgems for the info

  9. My grandfathers 1940's USAF service sweater. The tag says the company is called "Iron Run", but I have never been able to find anything about it. However, it is remarkably heavy and warm. Its one of my favorite things I own, but unfortunately it is considerably too big to wear regularly.

it looks great, are the patches made from cotton ?

  10. By 2008, rather than the hard bound 2003 volume, we get a flimsy brochure. Design is by The Kitchen, text is around 6 point, white out, so it breaks up and is impossible to even read. You can sense LVC was about to die thru lack of TLC. THey don't even mention the season, but I'm pretty certain it's 2008.

    Are you sure ?

    I'm certain I bought this t-shirt back in 2005.

  11. hooooleee shite! how on earth did i miss this LVC shirt?!

    5414711478_b42834dee9_b.jpg

i don't think i can imagine a more perfect t-shirt. one of my favorite sketches by one of my favorite artists. on a nice LVC shirt. damn.

It's a LVC, if I do remember well, from Spring 2005. I bought in Paris at that period anyway

    thank you

  13. Also, apparently LVC has a new sub-line of items that are made LVC-style but not based on actual archived vintage Levi's articles. I guess the idea is to remove some of the constrictions in design/sizing that come with accurately reproducing old, worn in garments. Maybe to free up the designers hands to compete more effectively with the likes of RRL.

I think the tote bags and belts and a shirt I saw are all the sub-line, which seemed to all be labeled slightly differently- as "A Levi's historic reproduction" rather than directly as "LVC", but I'm not 100% sure about the labeling.

The shirt I saw, not pictured on the Unionmade site yet, was awesome. A sort of sand-colored nicely weathered slim-cut long-sleeve shirt with two deep chest pockets and a "customized" curved lower front placket like that of some of the Mister Freedom shirts (like the CPO). Fit was so perfect, I almost broke down and forked over the $200, but I just barely resisted.

Frankly, it was nicer than any LVC shirt made in recent memory.

It was Made & Crafted collection, wasn't it?
