  1. Just scored a couple of the 27mw off ebay - been looking for them a while. Will post pics soon.

I have this listed in supermarket (size XL. But I posted incorrect measurements and will update soon. Actually very slim fitting. Never worn.

  2. Doing a little spring cleaning. Both of these items are new without tags.

  3. I ...I bought my '47's so I'd have a good pair of jeans to wear with cowboy boots. I don't get boot cut jeans especially with cowboy boots to me the jeans should be fairly tight around the top of the boot on cowboys or engineers (biker) boots.

    .

Whoah. Your taste is at odds with the entire world!

  4. I don't have any pictures, but they're both very basic (a black money belt and another in natural finish). These belts are wider than sugarcane belts, 2 inches, so that's why they feel so thick.

I once owned a sugarcane belt and ended up selling it. In terms of quality, the Idaho Leather belts are far superior.

    cool levistrauss,

although looking at the pics they dont look thicker then lets say sugarcane belts. and on the links i have posted they say the belts are around 4,5 to 5 mm.

    and they look softer.

any pics of yours you could post ?

  5. got this link from lightning magazine.

anyone here ever heard of IDAHO LEATHERS?

here are two links, seems like they make really nice belts

Idaho leathers specializes in western gun holsters, and also makes belts for the motorcycle leather company, Langlitz Leathers. I own two belts from them and they are very thick. I like them, but their thickness makes it somewhat uncomfortable to wear.

  6. Buzz Rickson's in large that i have measure approx 22" pit to pit.

My BR size L measure closer to 25". But these ones are over a year old so maybe they changed the sizing.

Even though they measure big at 25", I'd say they still fit like a true Large. Maybe sleeves are a little short.

  7. Baggy Motorhead shirt, oversized belt buckle, Motorcycle jacket. Post in WAYWT reccommended, no, mandatory.

I actually think if you're going to wear your shirt untucked, it's best if you don't see a bulge from a belt buckle. Nowadays I'm a bit more conscious of this.

  8. That is one of the most retarded statements ever - I have been wearing belts for longer than I can remember and I haven't ever worn a shirt on account of the belt.

well, it happened to me. probably from my shirt hanging over a slightly large buckle while wearing motorcycle jacket zipped up tight while riding. drilled several holes into my favorite motorhead shirt this way.

& what's the point of wearing a belt if your pants fit? pointless if you're going to wear a baggy t-shirt over it anyway.

sorry if this is mind-blowing to you. after all of your 12 years of belt-wearing experience it's obvious that your'e the go-to guy at your middle school.

  9. do you guys think a nice belt is necessary if you never tuck?

No. And If I'm going to wear a shirt untucked, I'll take the belt off. Depending on the type of buckle, it could wear holes into your shirt.

  10. I like to wear old biker belts from the 40's and 50's as well as old garrison belts from the late 30's and early 40's. Here's a 40's silver studded black leather belt. Since this photo was taken I've treated the leather with Pecards and it's restored it back to good condition.

By far the best belt on this thread. Nothing beats these vintage originals.
