Yeah I agree with the sense of japanese improvisation. I went to tokyo in the summer and noticed that sort of thing alot. I was just curious about how he actually gets away with it. Now I know...

Can someone PLEASE explain to me how Bape freely manages to get away with copying other companies sneaker designs??? eg. Nike's AF1, Puma etc... I know he apparently changes little tiny features on the shoes, but surely he still shouldn't get away with it. I like a bathing ape, but isn't it just a little unfair??

YEAH I WENT THERE IN THE SUMMER.

A busy work shop, bape cafe, heatwave stores, all exclusive stores, go to superfuture's shop section. GO THERE! it's worth it...

Has anyone been to the new bape cafe in shibuya, tokyo? when i walked up the stairs there was a big painting by graffiti artist kaws; it had the simpsons, but all the characters the signature cross-eyes and it was titled 'the kimpsons'. it had the same layout as the beatles 'seargent peppers lonely hearts club' album cover. here's what it looks like: http://www.hypebeast.com/archives/kaws_simpson_painting.jpg

yeah i know that, but im thinking that there might be a print you can buy of it the same as you could get a print of a painting by picasso (bearing in mind kaws' exclusivity...)
