  2. a couple years back i saw a pair of drilled rimless glasses who's earpieces/rest of the frame made of this flexible plastic or rubber material.. no metal other than the screws into the lenses.

does these ring a bell to anyone? is there a name for the style? my guccis just arent "doing it" for me anymore and i am dying to find these glasses again.

also if it doesnt ring a bell but you have seen some other nifty frames, please don't hesitate to give me a link :)

    thanks

  3. I dont like salt on anything. Does anyone else remember when people put SAND down to melt the snow? Wont fuck up my leather shoes, better for the environment AND cheaper.

not to nitpick but the reason ice "melts" snow is because when bonded it holds a lower melting/freezing point.. lower than 0 degrees centigrade. so it must be colder than the current temp (usually) to remain frozen. dirt however, wouldn't do the same.. i imagine thats just for traction for your feet/tires .. i found it interesting.. sophomore chemistry haha

but yea i snowskate in my nudies every once and a while and tend to beat myself up pretty bad when i hit the ice. it sort of just accelerates/ further accentuates the fading

  4. i saw them at bodega in boston a couple months back however they were out of sz 11's. they are the rawhide-ish ones with the crepe sole.

theres one that looks similar that goes for around 45 dollars only its a lighter color leather with a "busier" sort of construction. the ones im looking for go for around 90 bucks. anyone that has seen them please holler, you'd be a big help :P

  5. im looking at a pair online, i dont know anything about the quality or fit of grn clothing but

i do like what i see. im looking into a pair of raw denim "bald bull" 's .. they retail for like 80 to 100 dollars i think.

anyway, thoughts and comments greatly appreciated fellows :)

im not sure if they are on the site any more.. but its www.grnappletree.com and then just go to the preview for a scrolling slide of their line

  6. i almost get violent when i hear someone say " oh my god, new urban outfitters line"

any trend or clothing style that has always bugged me i can trust to see in a window at urban outfitters. BLEH.

my number one reason for hating them is that they are the only place i have found that carries coffee vans sk8=hi's

  7. englandmj7, i dont see why you use your position in the music industry to stick up for one band and to show disrespect for another.. in my oppinion if any band has made it far enough for a variety of people have a listen to them and gain a fanbase, then they are deserving of any and everyones respect.

sometimes i wish people would stop throwing around the word hardcore.. screaming and heavily distorted guitar is by no means- hardcore..

as i recall hardcore branched from the punk scene and is therefore more on the minimalist

side of the music spectrum and more focused on conveying a message.

subgenres are a gigantic clusterfuck anyhow. please ignore my directionless rant.
