Didn't mean to knock the brands - it's hard to beat a track record like theirs. Not many people here would wear a hunting jacket like in the pic because it's not a very urban look, but personally I like them. My point was that you wouldn't have to look very far or hard to find a similarly styled piece.

Yeah, it's probably just your average Woolrich or Pendleton, but put it on Marlon Brando and it suddenly becomes more impressive...

I got a Brooks Brothers one exactly like that, without the plaid lining. for $3 at Value Village.

Hey Wild Whiskey, which bootcut are you referring to (i.e. slim or lowrise)?

Just got my pair of the lowrise bootcut yesterday. Even though I wear 31-32 in most jeans (Nudie, PDC, Diesel, etc.), I went with the 29x34 since most pairs seem to run large in the waist (although if we're to believe the seller some of the jeans actually measure as tagged). The waist actually fits me perfectly and the inseam is correct as well. What struck me is how slim and lowrise they really are. In fact, they're so tight in the thighs that when I sit down, instead of pulling up the cuffs it pulls down the waist. They have a much slimmer fit and lower rise than the Nudie RR, and even compared to the Da'mage cut.
The denim is definitely too soft to be raw; I'm assuming it's one-wash. They're almost as dark as my raw denim, though. From the feel I'd guess the weight is 13 oz. The features are nice: hidden rivets, fell inseam, chainstitched hem, and sky blue selvage. Overall, a nice sub-$100 purchase, with a relatively unique fit in the world of shuttle loom denim.

i wouldn't categorize the double-R line with old navy

How about Jeru the Damaja circa 1996:

the denim is indeed good, 12.5 oz ringring from italy, although one or two of the styles use a lighter fabric (easy to tell by feel)
the cuts are all the same - moderately low rise, bootcut, regular fit in the thighs, average flare
most of the washes are nice, but i think most agree the "rekko" and "ice" look best and are the most distinctive
nordstrom rack has a bunch, but filene's had them even cheaper ($50), you can call them to see if they still have some in your size - actually, i picked up a mismarked pair there for $15 the other day

What would the cheapest pair of selvedge denim jeans I could buy online, apart from what's on ebay? I know ringring has stated that some Gap jeans are selvedge - which ones would those be?
