I'm in the market for a pair of Alife Kennedys, size US 12.
Brown, sage, olive, navy... would prefer deadstock but will consider used in good condition.
Anything?
If so please mail me: [email protected]
Thanks

Ralph Lauren Purple Label have a great umbrella with the skull & bones motif on at the moment. I just picked one up...very subtle and beautifully made with great details. $200 or so...

I love what these guys are doing in their own way

Check out
I love this guy's work. His prints are big, about 80 x 100cm I think. The pics on the site really don't do them justice, but they're still fascinating
And also
They have an amazing photographer called Florian Maier Aichen on their site

Rhythmandsound, I think thats like a barcode number you gave me....if you have the book to hand the ISBN number will be right near it, probably above the Yen price.
It'll be like "ISBNx-xxxx-xxxx-x"
Thanks for your help...just trying to pick up a copy through my local Japanese bookstore.

Miyake has a weird sizing system (well maybe its standard in Japan, I don't know) where all the men's clothes are a size 2, 3 or 4.
I'm about 6'1" and average build (by nooo means a model size or a skinny bugger) and the size 3 stuff fits me nicely - not skinny fit but nice with a bit of room.
I appreciate its a big ole trek for you...there's no way I can guarantee there'll be anything that works for you, and some of Miyake's stuff is plain crazy.
But there were nice plain or simple-patterned shirts, knitwear and suits and jackets in most sizes when I was there. Alongside the inflatable shorts and day-glo mesh shirts, of course. Oh, and a whole big box of knitted scarves/woollen hats/ties and belts for like £30-£50.
Hope that helps.
Good luck if you go.

Entry is free, its totally above board.
I work on a fashion mag in London so we get tipped off about these things.
Apparently they're re-stocking it every day until it all runs out.
Get down there!

For anyone in London
Sept 29th, 30th & Oct 1st 11am - 5pm
Issey Miyake sample sale
Chelsea College Of Art
3 Manresa Road

Go the tip off and headed down there today, whole lotta clothes (mens and womens) to be had dirt cheap.
I picked up a £750 woollen coat for £95. Definitly worth a look if you like Miyake.

Damn, if only Relax came with a translation of all the text huh?
Looks like one of the best magazines around, but noooo idea what it says.

DCFTMC, I often wondered about who was behind all the designs too. Everything they put out gets so much exposure they gotta have some good people working on it. Every season seems like they're on a totally different slant to what other labels are doing - especially the tees...always unexpected. Even if you're not a fan, you're sure as hell gonna take a look and see what Supreme have brought out.
I think Garland Lynn of I Am Ecstatic did some of the designs a while back, definitely the print ads. Mass Appeal mag did a big article on Supreme a couple of years back, 5 or 6 pages on the people behind it with a big spread of the whole family outside the shop and interviewing a few key people. Maybe you can get a back copy through their website.

Late post I know, but you can just call the store in NY, buy the shoes with plastic and have FedEx/UPS/etc collect them and ship them over to you. Maybe kinda extreme, but I've done it a couple of times and the folks at MJ were very helpful.

Pretty sure its a Braun watch from about 5 or 6 years ago.

Don'tcarefor...
Before making movies Clark was a stills photographer, and in '71 shot the seminal book Tulsa, showing the sex and drug fuelled life of wasted youth in his hometown. No one had really shot and published stuff this hardcore before, it really opened people's eyes and caused uproar
And in his own way Terry Richardson has continued to push the boundaries. Maybe not so much on the junk front, though he was an addict for a while. But the sex side, which is now pretty commonplace and used in advertising in ways that Larry Clark's stuff never could have been!
Whether they're tight I don't know.
I'd imagine Terry would be the first to acknowledge how important Clark's early work was, but they're from different generations. Bob Richardson, Terry's father, was a pretty extreme photographer in his heyday too, so maybe there is a connection from back then.
Either way, seems like Supreme recognises the importance of the work of these mavericks and its good to see it introduced to a new audience. Check the work of Nan Goldin too if you like this kind of stuff.
