  1. Hi.

Anybody suggest the best spots to find Gram shoes in Stockholm?

Also, any new stores that havent been listed yet? Mostly interested in multi brand select shops, new designers etc.

Over there for Weds/Thurs this week and intened to walk as much of the city as possible.

    Cheers

  2. I lived in Tokyo for a year and traveled around quite a bit as my wife is from the north east and we had business in a few of the larger cities.

If you have only a week to travel then you must go to Kyoto. I went there for my honeymoon, supposed to be three days, ended up extending to a week as fell head over heels with the place.

I reckon 4/5 days there and a few in Osaka is the way to go.

There's something like over 100 world heritage sites there and its a lot more gaijin friendly as its more used to tourism. Kyoto is built on a gridiron (modeled on Xian) so you won't spend you're time lost like you will in Tokyo.

Head to Gion at 6pm and follow the tourists to the spot where the meiko and geiko can be seen running to taxis to avoid the likes of us. Make sure you have a fast film in you're camera as its surprising how fast they can run!

Shopping is OK (some good vintage stores, I believe that Hanjiro have a store there now) but you have Osaka close by anyway.

You can take the Nozumi Shin-Kan-Sen from Tokyo; make sure to spend a while wandering around Kyoto station, it's unreal and has a great view from the top.

Mate, I am so jealous if you make it there, I will defo be living ther in the next few years.

    Gambateh (good luck)!

  5. Moody Bape shoes and T's now available from Dalston market along side localy made Von Dutch, Evisu and Roca, Wu etc. A very shabby look.

Make your own mind up London but my advice is, if Japanese street wear is your thing then go to the Japan centre, buy a copy of Boon mag or Samurai, find some propper Ura Harrajuku labels and hunt online. The quality will nearly always be excellent as, well, thats what japanese brands do.

  6. I was well happy when I stumbled across an original Adidas "First" track suit top (light blue with navy, grey and red stripes) in some back end store in Kyoto last year.

Been keeping an eye out for one for years. I still have my old one from the mid 80's at me mums but its kinda small.

That one is a classic for me as it was the most popular of the stuff that the Liverpool football fans used rob when away on European games. Thats pretty much where the English madness for casual sports wear came from, hence "the casuals", although the Glasgow and Manchester lads played a big part.

Any one on here form the north west of England in the 80's? Gutted to see the passing of the Wade Smith store. The old one on Bold Street kept me in shoes for years.

  8. I was in the Regent Street Store today and they had very limited sizes left. Loads of 30X33. Thats what I went for, which leads me nicely on to.....

has any one taken Uniqlo up there leg alteration service from this store? When I asked about it the fellla just said she was "some girl". That could mean a work experience or comunity service bod in my language. Bit nervous.

Illl be in the Oxford Street store tomorrow looking for 29 legs so will post if there is bounty to be had.

Why do stores stock so much long legged product when its quite obvious only short arses by good stuff?
