  1. thanks jaypee. as i said, i emailed pediwear and they aren't getting any of what i want in stock again for almost 2 months. herrings haven't replied to any of my emails (3 now) over a 2 week period.

i will check out american tailors, as well as dj's. maybe florsheim is worth looking at too? if you think of anything else please drop me a pm.

sf australian thread is usually pretty helpful regarding this sort of thing, but i asked for some advice in there and got nothing.

I reckon that you won't be getting much bang for your buck purchasing in Melb. Apart from Pediwear and Herrings, how about giving Shoehealer, Bodileys, Andersons of Durham or Plal a go.

Between them you should be able to get every major British shoemaker at competitive prices. They all offer expedited shipping too.

  2. I've used Arimino Peace. the stuff comes in a huge cube and lasts FOREVER. it will probably last you an entire year, you barely need to apply any at all. it has pretty good hold, relatively matte (depends on how much and whether your hair is wet when applied. wet = shiny dry = matte), lasts forever, and smell isn't very strong (you decide whether that's good or not). has to be washed off with shampoo.
  3. Using axe paste atm and liking the texture in hand and when working through hair.

Thought about ordering layrite superhold but want something a bit more pliable. Went ahead and just put in an order for the baxter clay pomade

Does the layrite really crust or it depends on the humidity and hair type? from california fwiw

I've used Layrite superhold and never had any problems with crusting.

From Singapore so that's pretty much as humid as you can get.

  4. I'm heading down with my girl during the first week of may. it's our first times in seoul so we're probably just to do the usual touristy shit, and shopping (for her). can sufu seoul chime in on which area is best to stay at?

i'm currently looking at either Gangnam or Myeongdong, and the latter seems to be the spot for shopping (not for jawnz though). is the convenience of staying there worth the higher prices?

recs for either area (or anywhere else) would be appreciated.
