  1. I will try and get some photos. I've got to say they are exactly as purchased. They didn't loose any indigo. They shape returned to original. I am still a bit amazed. I was planning on washing them inside out and completely forgot to do it and washed them right side out but no color was lost.

  2. I put two pair of DH raw through the wash tonight really concerned of the results and I have to say they came out incredible. Regular wash cycle and hot dry. They returned to the shape that they were when I bought them. Incredible. They had started to stretch in the waist and I was worried about what would happen through the wash but they came out great. Super happy right now.

  3. Personally I don't. There are some people that make alot of money with it. People that want to make money. People that are bored and/or feel they have something they want to say. As for the others I can't imagine why they would.

  4. to save you from a barrage of insults I'll help you real quick.

  5. Has anyone gotten one of these yet? I am thinking about picking one up today and wondering what you thought about it if you have any experience with one. Size/Quality/Service/Navigation/Durability/etc.

  6. I will agree with the borrowing from the past part of this and being influenced by youth culture. Hedi is known for it. But he updates the majority of pieces that DH creates and evolves a theme out of it. A reason I think it has become so popular. It becomes more of a lifestyle then just an outfit. But there is definitely a difference between a piece at the thrift store and a piece of Dior Homme. There is no comparison between cuts and fabrics used. Is it possible to find a piece here and there that emulates the current DH line? Probably. But to say that the quality is the same is rubbish. There is a kid in the downtown ny scene that tries to copy the DH look everynight he goes out by buying some cheap ass piece of clothing and cutting it up into something that looks like outfits from the runway show and he looks like an absolute fool. I have never seen him get it completely right and usually the thing(s) that are off are way off.

anyone have info about these? http://luisaviaroma.com/ecnew/Collections/Photos/Medium43I/A31/0010.jpg

are they raw? do they really fit that big or is it just the way the model is wearing them?

They do seem to be raw. That image is ultra confusing. Here is an image of how 19cm should fit (I'm pretty sure these are 19cm).

I am guessing that the model wearing those on the luisavia site is wearing a pair that is about 2 sizes too big for them. Most people that get 19s go about 1 size larger but with raws you don't need to (in my opinion). You can most probably attribute the crazy look to the poor quality of images LVR has on it's site. Unless DH have drastically changed the cut of the jeans which I would highly doubt.

  8. I stole this.

many of you may have heard rumors that there was going to be a maison Martin Margiela store opening here in New York. well i have heard from good sources that the store is now officially open. the only problem is that nobody knows exactly where it is. apparently that's just how they do things. the store is open for business however they don't tell anyone that they've opened or where they're located. i do know that it's somewhere in the west village.

Admittedly I know nothing of Margiela's lines other than passing them by at Barneys. Their website isn't much help either. It has never caught my interest to look at the pieces but if this is really the case it peaks my interest to at least go and check it out.

  9. I don't disagree that DH looks great on the right woman. If anyone has seen the story with Kate in Another Man she looks better in the clothing than 95 percent of men that are wearing it. It is a shame that they make some really nice clothing look like crap. I get the same feeling everytime I am brave enough to walk into century 21. Last week when I went in there they had a ton of Gucci, Cloak and Costume National and just the presentation and care of it made it look like it belonged on the same rack as Nautica.

A buyer on the fashion spot just commented that the models are the actual models from the runway show.

Funny, I don't remember any females in the runway show.

and when did luisaviaroma become a part of LVMH? I don't think they would allow anything close to that. Compare that site to eLuxury. I honestly believe luisaviaroma would have a much better sell through if they shot/styled/showcased the product better.

  11. I appreciate that. But this is asking more about shopping in Berlin and not so much Jetsetting in Berlin. Since the jetsetting part is taken care of I am looking to spend in Berlin, Why I favor the supershoppers of this place. Take care of that admin power it might be dangerous if used inappropriately.

  12. I have a pair of black Dior Homme jeans that I am parting with. They are 34x38. Unaltered. They are the 'cat claw' DH jeans. Send me a pm if you are interested in purchasing. I bought them a while ago however they don't fit me so I am getting rid of them.
