I'm planning on listing these jeans on Ebay. These are the first vintage jeans I've ever listed. I'm not sure exactly of the year but I plan on googling up some info and finding out before listing. Can anyone provide any tips as far as good keywords or any other suggestions. I love the hige on these jeans but they are too small and too distressed for my tastes.

I have a pair of favorite 47's and coveted. You can get the coveted at Urbn.Com. The coveted have a similar color to vibrant medium but have wear marks on the thigh and behind the knees and ankles. I love the way these jeans fit but I don't think they fit anything like the 527. The 527 is significantly looser. I'm a 32' waist and wear a 34' in skinner and wear a 33 w/the 527s. My 33' 527 are much looser than my 34' Skinners. If you are looking for a cut similar to Skinners, try a 507. They are almost identical maybe just a small bit looser around the thighs.

I had purchased a pair of jeans from Levis Premium collection that a while back that fit a tad bit too big. It sucks because I absolutely love these jeans but haven't been able to come across the same style in the same color. Does anyone know of any tricks to shrink these?? I know Levis Premium don't shrink normally because I have a couple pairs of skinners and some Ozzy's from Levis Premium Collection that have not shrank at all from normal wear and wash but didn't know if there were any crazy tricks for shrinking jeans that don't normally shrink. Any help is greatly appreciated.

does he sell belts online? Does he have a website and or catalog or anything?Quote:i dont know about ebay but if you have a good vintage store that deals in 50s rockabilly gear, they arent too hard to find. on ebay try "motorcycle studded belt" in the vintage clothing section 1947-62
i have 3 belts that style, but they have the leather inlays which that ebay one doesnt have (one is cowhair, 2 are stingray leather) with one of them custom made with rhinestone music notes and initials on the back.
the guy who makes my belts also makes them for Neiman Marcus, Fred Segal and Hollywood Trading Co....right now he is customizing my leather jacket with some cool patterns.

How would one search for a belt like this on Ebay? Are there any specific keywords besides vintage?

I'm new here and before a couple of weeks ago was new to the fact that there is a whole group of people fascinated with all things denim, I am finding it fascinating myself. I do have one question that I'm hoping someone can answer. Does anyone know if there is a shortcut to getting the cool hige effect that happens on the back of the knees, besides just wearing the hell out of them?? Does anyone know if there are any websites, books etc. that have info on how to apply worn effects on jeans ie.. hige, whiskers etc. Thanks alot and hope the way i asked these questions isn't too ignorant.. any guidance is appreciated.

I'm not a denim expert or anything but I find premium 501s to be really good quality. I wear the hell out of mine.
