  1. thanks for the reply -

correct me if im wrong but isnt the contour fit low waisted with a bootleg?

is the helmut lang classic cut comparable to the new standard (what i have worn for several years now and need a break from)?

  2. can anyone help with the sizing and styles? im looking for the style that is straight, maybe subtle taper, and farely slim/tight. also, are they true to size? 28 in brand x (ex. apc) = ? in helmut lang?

    thanks for any help.

  3. so - no stitching involved? presumably, i could get this button and do it myself without needles, thread?

the bottom half of mine is still attached to the jeans - maybe cuz the top attaching bit is all mangled and isnt coming out of the denim peacefully - ive been using pliers, butter knives...civilized behavior went out the window hours ago...

    thanks again.

  4. Hey all -

One of my crotch buttons snapped in half! just sorta ripped apart. its one of those (i think standard on any button fly jeans) buttons that they probably had to stitcha and then snap the two sides together (i think). Any ideas on where I can get another and how they are stiched into the fabric? it doesnt look straight forward. thanks for any help.

  5. got a pair of the tight jeans as well. Look and feel exactly like my older new standards (that have the train tracks et al) but without the one feature. I bet they are still selvedge (surely this one sign cannot be the only determinant?). given their track record, i would think the same quality is being maintained. If you truly get them tight/ they fit you that way cuz you have a smaller waist - it starts to make sense to cut the outseam off...what little outseam they have is chafing me right now.

the people there are sending you the same jeans again BTW. They thought they mistakenly sent you a pair of the stretch denim tight jeans (also cures) which arent selvedge. THe ones worn in the picture are the ones they are calling selvedge. Thats my take anyways.

    best.
