  1. ^ I'm not always a fan of pre-distressing, but LVC did a really nice job on that one. I've seen a few different jackets of that model, and the wash seems to be slightly different on each one. Really nice. How does it fit compared with, say, a 506 or 507?

Its a good fit in the chest, but baggy around the upper arms, long in the sleeve and short in length.

  2. like PaulT and others have said, over the years I've admired warehouse and other historical jeans reproducers for their authenticity and dedication to producing old and rare garment styles. Its just awesome to read posts/ a book from some of the guys who are actually digging up the real artifacts and selling them to the japanese companies doing the repros. So cool!

  3. I got my ROY jeans today! I am blown away by the construction quality and details. ROY is the real deal, i am instantly a loyal customer. I can't wait to see what other pieces of clothing he'll be putting out in the future!

  4. The stone rep for the store I work at told me they have two weeks to supply their accounts with their seasonal beers after the official release date stated on Stone's website. It's first available directly from Stone's brewery store and then at larger/ high-volume specialty retailers. All seasonal beers are allocated, where after a few weeks if there is left-over stock their accounts can re-order on a limited/ as-available basis.

  5. Nice shell collection cheep! Some really great shoes there....seems like there were so many quality shoe makers based in the USA back in the day, where as now something like 90% of all shoes sold in the U.S. are made in china.

And yes, white'sriver is the official whites factory outlet on Ebay. I've bought two pairs from them, all at great prices!

  6. Anybody seen this before? There seems to be a stitch or some thread in the toe box area on a pair of J Crew Indy boots I just received. It doesn't touch my toes, only noticed it when I put my hand in the boot but I'm wondering if this is indicative of poor construction in some way or if it could lead to issues down the road.

I haven't seen this on the three pairs of Aldens I own, but I don't think this will affect the long term stability/quality of the shoe. If it doesn't touch your toes or make the fit uncomfortable there is nothing for you to worry about.

dawei69: You can get your hands on cat's paws by buying off ebay, or patronizing an old school cobbler thats been in business for a while in your area.
