  1. I have some APCs from the SOHO store in NY and they lack the English or should I say "Anglaise" tab also. Those English have been washed with no fading to be seen. At least they will be more comfortable to their new owner because my jeans felt like they were wearing me for at least two weeks.

  2. Nice work Geowu. How in the hell are you getting so much wear on the front thigh area?

My APCs don't look 1/8 as worn and I have had them almost as long as you.

  3. I don't think those look like the English cut either. GuyH do you have a tag inside of the jeans indicating which cut they are? I ordered English jeans off of the APC website and received jeans that don't have the tag indicating the cut on the inside. My jeans seem like they are too slim to be English cut. I wonder if APC is shipping out jeans that aren't the right cut?

  4. It's always nice to see this thread still going white hot. Anyways, I am going to nag again for PICTURES, more updated pictures!!!!! I KNOW there has to be so many good pics of jeans being broken in since it seems that everyone on this forum owns a pair by now.

  5. I would suggest going true to size. I also received jeans that fit true to size when I ordered through the internet. Sizing down one made me wish I had just gotten my usual size. This is coming from someone that got their largest cut: the English. Also, my jeans don't even seem like the right cut and there is no tag inside indicating what cut it is (ie: new standard, anglaise, rescue). Anyone else also have jeans that are missing the tag indicating the cut?

  6. Hey I have a brand new pair (with tags) of Lee X-line Nash model jeans in 30W 32L. They have the green center belt loop rivet, some distressing done in high-wear areas, and are half-selvedge (green). I bought them and may decide to return them to the store. However, I know they are pretty hard to come across so I was wondering if any of you fellow denim dorks might want to take them off my hands before I just take them back. I may put them on EBAY and will post pics if necessary but for now they are the same ones as pictured here: http://www.lee.com/product-detail.asp?group=mens&label=&group_id=9WZFRPEXYJDHRNCC87DHTQENRA&model_id=E29C2AF2ZBH75Q7IYKV63V5M9I

  7. Shinobi, I feel for you man. It is quite annoying having these nice jeans fit me so tight in the waist (especially when I am sitting down). They are fine as long as I pull them up so they sit at the skinniest part of my waist but I didn't buy lower rise jeans to hike them up like that. Anyhow, I am not even CLOSE to being a thick or big guy and these 29s are making me want to relocate the top button. Does anyone have pics of themselves with their APC English on?

  8. Well if you do a "wet" wash in a machine you will be removing a lot of indigo from the jeans depending on what temperature you wash them at. This means that if you have been wearing the SH%T out of them you might already see some cool contrasts and highlights in the high-stress areas. But, if you haven't gotten them pretty beat up by now, you will just be making it more difficult to eventually see such highlights because you will be removing indigo from all over the jeans instead of in the areas that are getting creased and stressed. If you look at the jeans and there is some contrasting and lightening of the indigo in the areas you want, then go ahead and turn them inside out and give em a wash (how hot the water is will determine how much indigo you remove, especially from the areas that are lightened before the wash). If not I suggest getting them dry cleaned to remove some of the dirt and grimy stuff. That way you can put them through more usage before doing the "transformation" wet wash.

  9. Thanks for the quick response wild whiskey but I am going to eventually wash them in a machine (warm to get maximum bleeding out of the high-wear areas) after I wear the sh%T! out of them. That is yet another thing I have to take into consideration about sizing. My Anglais were tight in the waist even after some stretch.

  10. Okay I need to know what everyone thinks. I have a pair of APC Anglais that are 29 waist, the thing is I am normally a 30 waist and can even comfortably fit a 29 or 28 diesel waist. However, my 29 inch anglais are uncomfortably tight on me which is yet another example of APC sizing being all over the map since they fit pretty true to size. I am going to order some rescues and was wondering what size I should get since 29 anglais are too tight on my waist. Are the pair I own an odd exception to the size-down rule?

  11. Who knows of any other denim out there more "rigid" (stiff) than APC? How long did it take for everyone until it no longer felt like the jeans were wearing them? Also, for English Cut jeans, where in the pants does it say "Anglais"? Finally, can people post pics of their APCs?

  12. We all know that you can "cheat" and break-in denim with the use of sandpaper. I wanna know what everyone thinks is the best ACTIVITY to do in their jeans in order to break them in the fastest way possible with the best result? Also if my denim is "washed selvedge" that appears to have been washed ONCE from the factory (still pretty dark and bleeds onto my shoes), will it make my results far less noticable?

  13. Does anyone know if all Maharishi Denim is selvedge or not? I always thought they were but I am not too sure. Also, can anyone that is familiar with these jeans tell me what they think about them (fit, quality, price, etc)? Finally, where can I get them online in the U.S.?
