I agree with jinx. Replay jeans look like shit and is rocked by chavs exclusively. They got too much stuff going on with their stitching and their washes are horrible. They're seriously overpriced aswell, where I live they sell for $300 plus.

Same thing with Nitty Gritty (http://www.nittygritty.se) in Stockholm. Clothing and hairdresser at the same spot.
Never actually went there for a haircut, but they got some nice clothes.

Well, mine are tapered.
Fold the ankle up to the knee and see for yourself. Ankle is narrower than the knee.

Actually California is pretty skinny as well. I bought mine in size 28/34 about two weeks ago and on me it started out as a real slim fit and stretched out to something a little more comfortable, but still pretty slim. They've got a medium rise and the ankle is slightly tapered. Right now these are my definite favourite jeans and I'm wearing em like you people are wearing your A.P.C.'s (everyday).
And yeah, pricing should be about the same as Nudies. I also live in Sweden and copped my dry California for 1100 SEK (~150 USD).

No one wears linen pants huh?

So from 1922 when the belt loops were added until 1937 the 501 had suspender button, cinching buckle and belt loops? Is this right?

Those are 1933 repros right? Did the '33 501 really have suspender buttons? I think those were removed around 1927. Don't know for sure tho.

I need something to wear for those times when you can't really be caught in shorts but it's way to hot for 14 oz denim. I'm liking these from Vivienne Westwood ss05
Altho they're probably a bit to expensive for me.
If someone can recommend any brands that make something similar I'd appreciate it.

They got a list of stockist on their website. I know for shure they're available at SOLO Göteborg, don't know if that's to far away for you tho.
The california model is nice, wearing it right now. It's real slim fitting, medium rise and slightly tapered. Never actually tried the APC unisex so I wouldn't know how they compare in fit.
Price is totally reasonable. 1099 SEK for the unwashed california (~150 USD).

I've seen a Duffer of St. George selvage jean as well.

Another hint might be that the measurements ain't right. Real one is 4x4. The ebay one is 4.25x3.75
edit: And the ebay one seems to only have one credit card slot. Real one has three.

Look at the pattern for instance. It's a little bit of compared to the original.
Also the distance between the outer edge of the wallet and the where the cardslots begin (don't know quite how to explain) is to small compared to the eluxury one.

That's a fake. Look at the details.

LVC 60-something 505 is pretty slim. Zipper fly.

Julian Red Jeans - http://www.julianredjeans.com Three different slim fitting ring-ring selvage models.
Vailent - Carling´s house brand. One japanese ring-ring selvage 501 ´47 repro called "Jussi".
I think these brands are only available in Sweden.

Most swedish brands are pretty low quality, JL, Tiger and Filippa K included. I wouldn't know about whyred since I don't own any clothes from them. If you're looking for nice swedish denim go Julian Red, Nudie or Vailent. If you're looking for nice quality tees and sweats, look somewhere else.

I would definitely choose APC or R&B over Lindeberg. Altho Lindeberg do make some pretty nice washes. Try them on and see what fits you better and go with that.

Thanks kaew. Already copped a pair of rainbows tho

I love Dior bags and they make a messenger bag that looks amazing. Kinda pricey tho. For backpacks I liked those visvims released a while back, then again those aren't exactly cheap either.
If you want something street theres always Supreme. Or eastpack.

I downloaded sin city and watched it like a month ago. Gotta say I didn't like it. It kinda sucked actually..

Okay, thanks. The list is updated and hopefully a little more correct.
Can you tell me when Levi's first started stitching the arcuate on their back pockets? Was it there from the start or was it added somewhere down the line?

I didn't know.. Got my info from here http://www.antiqueweb.com/links/clothingandfashion.html and it says:
Quote:1890: A small forth pocket above the front pocket is added to accommodate coins and pocket watches.
This isn't correct?

I've started such a list of my own actually.
I'm trying to put together a summary over what features have been on the 501's during the years. I've posted it at my corny little blog http://dsng.blogspot.com/2005/05/levis-501-history.html.
It's probably full of errors, but as I state in the post I will try n update it until it's accurate.
