I've read or heard that Nigo is a closet gay and that he and Russell Simmons and Sean Combs hang out and do gay things together. I wish I could remember where I came across this....not sure if it is true or not but I would believe it.

This thread on The Fashion Spot will answer all of your questions regarding gay designers:

Can you buy him for a couple hours? Is that what you are suggesting? I might be interested.

^ I'm talking about the guy with the orange hair, orange shirt, orangish scarf, and orange detailed shoes, by the way.

I'm not too into the matchy matchy business going on with the shirt, scarf, and shoes all going with the dyed hair color.

I have a pair of these that I bought in Kyoto a couple of years ago. I had them paint the pockets with black paint. They are indeed a fine pair of jeans. The slimish cut is just right and the fade on mine is coming along really well. I sold a pair of #2 demin on ebay recently. I stopped wearing them because the #1 denim is so much nicer.

kixslf, no offense, but do you really have a girlfriend? Somehow I always assumed WhoGotMeIntoThis and you were boyfriends.

Yohji Yamamoto makes track jackets out of nice wool. They kind of look like and hang like regular polyester track jackets but the feel much nicer. Here is one on ebay. This one is for the ladies, but one of my friends who is a guy has one and you can't tell that it wasn't meant for men:
I prefer his mainline ones when you can find them over the Y-3. The Y-3 stuff is a little to flashy and hair dressery.

A brother might like the look of this furniture:

I'm no jive turkey! The 333's were a No. 3 series and the 204's were a No. 2 series for kids. If I could read Japanese I could tell you more. There are pictures in one of my Japanese mooks on jeans. It is the World Mook #9, issue called "The Jeans" edited by Kesaharu Imai. These particular jeans are on page 217.

Yeah, you need to rent a car. I probably doesn't matter what company you rent it from. I'd look online to see who has a better deal going. If you want a car with some bling, there are at least a few rental companies that will rent you a porche, lamborghini, escalade, etc.

Hmm, off the top of my head I can think of Levi's 333 from 1915ish, and Levi's 204 from 1930ish.
Welcome to Superfuture bicurious. I like your handle.

Alright Highstreet, sorry about the chaps comment, but I sincerly do like the cropped coats that you are making. I'm all for the good stuff you are putting up here. I have a Comme des Garcon trench coat from a few years ago that was treated similarly, but instead of taking a pair of scissors all the way around like you did they just cut out a large half circle at the rear.

Mr. Highstreet, I like what you are doing with the cropped coats. Pretty smart. I'd love to see you wearing one of your cropped trench coats along with a pair of bottomless leather chaps. I think that would be a really good look for you.

Mouko dresses like a man. The rest of you dress like little boys.

breakfasteatre, have you considered letting your hair grow out and then getting a spiral perm? I think you have the right kind of face to pull off a spiral perm, and it is a very low maintenance type of hairstyle. If you have problems with your hair being wavy you are a good candidate for a perm, by the way. Perms helps keep things under control.

There is an interesting development on the hints from helois website concerning wax removal. Apparently there is a more modern wax removal method that involves ice. Here is what she says in her advice then vs. advice now column:
Candle Wax on Carpet
THEN: Towel and iron
NOW: Ice and a metal pan
Put ice cubes into a metal pan. Place it right on top of the candle wax until the wax is frozen solid. With a small hammer, hit the wax to break it up. Pick up the pieces. Then apply dry-cleaning solvent on a clean cloth to remove any leftover residue.

I should never have doubted ringring. Heloise of Hints from Heloise says to do it ringring's way too. For future reference the ice trick does work for getting gum out of hair.

You might want to try putting an ice cube on the wax to make it brittle and then cracking it off. I would worry about melting the wax (with all due respect Mr. ringring) for fear of it soaking into the denim.

Mouko, you probably hear this all the time but I'll say it anyway. You have really nice full lips. I've always felt like mine are a little too thin. You are lucky. There is a guy who works at If (I think his name is Philip) who has really plump lips. I'm so jealous of him! Do you mind if I ask if yours are natural or have you had implants?

The Sunset Plaza area (a strip of shops on Sunset Blvd. not far from where you are staying) has a store called H. Lorenzo that carries D Squared. Across the street from H. Lorenzo is a Dolce and Gabbana store.
It you like Paul Smith, then you should check out the new store on Melrose which someone mentioned.
