  2. if money is no object then the showy place to stay is the FAENA UNIVERSE.

Top dollar, top design and a nice pool.

The only thing is that it is in the Puerto Madero area which, although very nice and clean, is kinda boring and bland, there are only a few restaurants, shops. You will need a cab to get to other places such as business area, Recoleta, Palermo, etc..

    have a good one!

FAENA is nice, but kinda far from Palermo - where you will spend most your time. The area around the Faena is the newly re-done harbourfront but nothing cool in that area yet..trust me!

  5. Croatia is great - I was there in 2004. the coast is beautiful, make sure you sail between the islands. Go there now b4 it gets too popular.

Any specific questions go ahead and ask.

Visited Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia last year and Croatia was my fav and Ljubljana is a funky little city worth a visit for the stylin traveller.

    cheers

  7. the area is pretty safe but this hotel is way overpriced for what you get..only the views are good, hotel has lots of growing up to do.

check out tripadvisor for more reviews.

  8. from what I heard EL AL does a lot of questioning of its passengers.

If you are Jewish it is pretty painless..just a few questions.

If you are non-jewish white then about 10-25 different questions that can be pretty personal. Who are you visiting? why? how long you know your friends? can we call them?

non white non jewish passengers get even more grilling.

They can be super cheap from Toronto to LA but just from the standpoint that EL AL flights clear customs in LAX and not in TO like AA and AC makes it a major hassle.

    cheers

Hotel St. Paul - minimalist monochromatic look

Hotel Gault - minimalist with stylish furniture

Hotel Nelligan - old europe style

W Montreal - trendy, cutting edge, brand new

Hotel Godin - not yet fully open - located near the Plateau

  11. 101 hotel is ok, but VERY expensive and in my opinion not worth it...yes it has been getting a lot of press for being the "it" spot..but the hotel options in Reykjavik are limited and $$$$. Stay somewhere cheaper and just hang out at the bar/resto at the 101 hotel like all the other FAB wannabees.

Reykjavik is small with not a lot to do so a short visit is best. The nitelife is pretty cool. Hot spots include restaurants/clubs Apotek,Pravda, Kaffibarrin, Vegamot, Astro and NASA.

I wouldn't shop there, it is mucho overpriced and selection sucks. Save your money for Paris, Milan or New York instead.

    have fun!

  12. Toronto and Montreal are doing well Mickey..thanks for asking.

Economy is booming right now, lots of exciting things are happening..lots of new interesting hotels in Toronto (finally) excellent restaurant and nightlife scene happening right now.

Dickhead - yeah looks can not be controlled but as a man I always like looking at fine women, and some cities have better looking people than others..just a fun fact. God bless Montreal women!

    cheers to all!

  13. All top 10 lists are subjective - thats the interesting part no? To hear everyones opinions and thoughts.

I have been to both London and Tokyo several times and yes they rank up there but that not in my top 10 (in my humble opinion) in that vital combination of style, able to carry it off and looks.

    cheers to all!

  14. excellent site, cool clothes.

Are you interested in the Canadian market at all? specifically Toronto and Montreal.

I have a feeling your line would do very well in Montreal especially.

  15. hello everyone!

Writing a article about different cities and their approach to style. Would like to ask the wonderful and well travelled members here what their top 10 cities with the most stylish citizens are?

mine would be the following (no particular order so far):

    New York

    Miami

Rio de Janeiro (even though most are in swimsuits)

    Sao Paulo

    Buenos Aires

    Paris

Budapest (the most beautiful women I think)

    Ljubljana

    Milan

    Rome

    cheers to all!

Please let me know what you mean by looking for someone more "Elite"??

    thanks

  17. Boring can be pretty subjective.

Some cities can be boring to visit but exciting to live in and some can be exciting to visit but boring to live in.

I find that I can find something interesting in each urban area, the ultimate boring spot is the sprawling suburbs that are surrounding all major Canadian and US Cities. I will take any "boring" city over a lifeless, colourless, soulless, cultural wasteland of Ajax or Whitby (suburbs of Toronto).

Boring can depend on the interests of the person. For people that love shopping Singapore can be exciting (as is it's clubbing, however expensive). My hometown of Toronto is a very vibrant, cultural city however I think would appear very boring to the person who visits for 2 days and sticks to the "tourist trail". Some of my favorite cities are places that may have apparent charms such as Seattle.

    cheers to all!
