  1. Out of curiousity, is there a demand for this product at all ? I see it going on ebay for insane pricepoints, Im not talking about the Adidas Ewing, im referring to his personal line.

  2. I know in the past the kicks were legit, but that may have been just a few pairs, its not my place to say but Im assuming it was partially legit and partially fake in terms of apparrel. When you have a few pieces that look alright, ownership may assume that clients will think the whole store is legit and purchase a few fake pieces too.

  3. I agree, for an individual topic start an individual thread although getting to the original matter, I would head to Pacific Mall where I find glasses to be the cheapest, especially if you know someone. They also have an inclusive range of almost everything. If your in the dowtown core check out Spectacle, the owners name is Jag and he has a few locations but his latest is on Queen West at Queen and Niagra.

  4. Hey,

the shoe game is by no means an easy game especially competing in todays market with the amount going on with all the hype and limited kicks. Kowalski do bring something different, the look may be one thing but on top of that but I dont recommend these for your feet either. The soles are basically hollow and really thin. All the best to Kowalski but they will have a tough time establishing themselves in the North American market as they arent too athletic nor are they formal. Different is good but at those pricepoints its tough, maybe im just speaking from the Toronto point of view. In regards to SportsWear International, I think you should look through that mag and understand that only about 60% of what they are doing is significant, the rest is either for money or standard editorials. I found local Canadian designers in there who are having a tough time getting one or two accounts, and the article and spread makes them out to be Prada ( I wont mention names as to who it was either ). The Only decent thing Sportswear have done have put together a denim board of the most influential denim members from 30 years back up onto current day, guys from Adriano all the way up to guys like Nathan from Rag&Bone.

  5. I recently managed to have a look at Topshops fitting scheme for females and apparantely it has had a flawless response from the market, their fits couldnt be better. For men its a little different as their product could be a bit slim for the North American market. Their numbers in total in terms of turnover from UK alone are outrageous.

  6. Hey Dave,

This summer my entire team travelled via EL Al and it wasnt because of the budgeting it was just done through our agent. The entire world has learned from their secuirity methods as they have set the standards for safety for years upon years. I have travelled with them on 3 occasions and dont believe everything you hear about the questioning and all that, you will have about 10-12 questions and usually they are redundant anyhow. If you seem suspicious then all they will do is keep you for additional questioning and go through your luggage with you.

Boycotting El Al from most countries is almost impossible as they will be the only carrier from certain regions to take you directly into Ben Gurion airport. Additionally to whoever made the prvious comment, Yes! the Jews who run El Al operate in a Nazi like behaviour, what kind of comment was that? If anything fucking Air Canada are the scum of the earth nevermind El Al, Air Canada have to be the worst airline on the face of this earth, what about their service or hospitality?

  7. We had these shoes, and we couldnt even give them away. Pherhaps it wasnt our market or pherhaps we had the wrong models, but really it was a disaster, I dont recommend them to anyone.

  8. All I know is that they are looking to transform their market to be a bit more street and in the UK they do a massive turnover. Their interests are to penetrate the North American market.

  9. Well I think your looking at it from an English perspective and if thats the case I totally agree with you. Theres nothing new to the table from what everyone else has to offer in terms of retail concepts. Yes, there is an abundance of them in the market right now, but these are the chains currently surviving. The basics are great and they truly do offer something for everyone. Their numbers on the womens side are apparantely pretty high too. From what ive gathered is that the English interest in Topman/Topshop is one of the highest amongst the chains.

  10. Well for what I believe the main interest of those on Superfuture, Topman probably doesnt fall within the same bracket of interest. However for their concept, appeal and price points I think they provide a strong selection with diverse options. They have a stylist option and trend advisor at specific locations which is free of charge and their product seems a bit more street than H&M. I am interested as to wether or not something like this would survive in North America?

Trini What up B, actually Burton is owned by the Arcadia group who own Topshop and Topman. Pretty interesting how retail holding groups function.
