  1. Just updating this thread. I've been to Manila twice since I asked where the hot places where: Nuvo was great. Great Euro-Asian cuisine, stylish white circular bar that's also heated. A favorite for lunch was the Museum Cafe, delicious food made with local ingredients, great view of Greenbelt's Japanese Garden, very appeasing. An evening favorite was Kai for new Japanese Cuisine, Nobu-trained chefs, very contemporary settings. A person visiting Manila doesn't really need to move out of Makati City, specially the Greenbelt area where most of these places are located. Greenbelt 3 also offered an array of restaurants which I found, although more popular, lacked the quality and the style of 2.

  2. There's a very popular specialty shop/caterer in Ganduxer named "Semon" and right next to it is a very small, intimate restaurant run by them called "L'Indret" ( I think in Catalan it means "little corner"). Excellent food, fantastic wine cellar, elegant contemporary interior, the creme of Barcelona eats there for lunch, what more can I say...

  3. Thanks for the tip. I found the prices at the Cerulean a bit ridiculous (they are charging on the average for the month of November +/- $300 plus +++). I opted for the new Park Hotel Tokyo at the Shiodome and they were asking for a double room +/-$180. Very contemporary, apparently not too far from Ginza and Tsukiji market (yummy!). Convenient for connections, one of the few hotels serviced by the Airport Limousine Bus, DesignHotels, one of three Tablet Hotels, etc. I thought about it finally, why insist on the Cerulean? http://www.parkhoteltokyo.com/index.html . But thanks for the tip!

  4. does anyone know a way to get better prices to the cerulean in tokyo? i think i've checked every website in the world, but any help is greatly appreciated. i will be in tokyo in the second week of november.
