I like how you added the question mark to the end of. "that might be fun?"
Most definitely. We been twice before but both of our previous trips were quite manic due to the short stay. I assume you know the areas very well, eh? Most of our trips through the cities were shotgun so we missed many of the good shopping & nightlife spots.

How was it? My friend Ed recommended that place to me for "Tokyo on a Budget" but I was sort of put off by the location (seeing as how I have little to no Japanese language capability).

My friends and I will be there from September 17 through September 28. We'd stay longer but the Cerulean... [ouch]

I've stayed at the Cerulean on my first trip to Tokyo and I was very impressed. However, this time we are coming to Tokyo with two more people (4 total) and our travel agent recommended the Mansions at Roppongi as an alternate.
Does anyone here have any experience with the hotel? It looks very nice from the website:

The prices are comparable but I'm not really sure how to weigh the pros & cons of the location as I'm unfamiliar with Roppongi.

Is the busyten site legitimate?

So when exactly is off-season in Tokyo? I know better than to visit in the freezing cold of winter. Admittedly, there was something novel about experiencing snow in Tokyo....
P.S. The Superfuture Hotels probably need a price update. Century & Cerulean run $200 and upwards a night now.

I always thought the panty vending machines were an urban myth.Quote:speaking of condom machines, I remember when I was in Tokyo a few years ago, me and my friends were out drinking and we were stumbling home when we came upon a...well, it's like a sex shop vending machine - there was school girl panties, a blow-up doll, panty hose, and other assorted stuff - we shoulda taken pictures but we didn't....if I remember correctly, it was south of Takadanobaba .....crazy shit.....

The last time we visited Tokyo, we were too wiped out from shopping to really visit any bars or clubs. I'm hoping to take full advantage this time around so an anyone recommend some bars or clubs that aren't too touristy or overridden with visiting Okinawa military boys?

This brand may be blasé blasé to most of you by now but I'm hopelessly addicted to Super Lovers. The last time I was in Tokyo, we noticed a large sign for SL on Meiji-dori but the actual store was no where to be found. I know of the little boutiques in Laforet and O1ONE but is there a standalone/flagship store somewhere?
Thanks.

From the ads I've seen, the sales are starting around this time (New Year) and extend to the 11th of January.

Looking for something like Zozo.jp

Can anyone recommend any Japanese websites that have online shopping (i.e. Zozo.jp)? I'm not looking for any particular labels but obviously merchandise geared towards the SuperFuture set (Beams, Dress Camp, Frapbois, United Arrows, Ships, et al).
Men's and women's clothing is fine. It doesn't matter if it's limited only to Japan, but online shopping is a must.
