Tender Co. Denim

Yo peeps, I am selling my brand new Type 130 in size 3 dyed in Logwood. I'm a size 2 so I wore it twice and never again. It really is too big. Anyone interested? A trade? I'm open to suggestions.

Cheers.

Thanks William - I don't think anyone here objects to a ramble from you - it all adds to the passion behind the work. I am fortunate enough to own one of the Tender watches (one is still available from Peggs & Son in Brighton for those interested). Of the new crop my favourite is definitely the Fried Egg - so will see what Santa brings.....

William,

I was just looking over the last few pages -- first time here on the Tender side of things.  I'm an old guy (60) but I've got to say you're inspiring me with your dedication to craft and respect for history.  We share some interests.  I've got an old Hasselblad 500 CM and a bunch of mechanical pilot watches (Smiths, IWC Mark XVI).  By the way, you're right, 45mm watches are too big -- 35-38mm is my sweet spot.  Loving my Ooe, Fullcount, Warehouse, and Iron Heart denim, but think I'll need to spend some time here too ;-)

My woad 130s are just shy of 2 years and I'm stoked on how they're looking

Spectacular! Thank you so much for posting these. Not even in the same league, but here are my rinsed 127s, 4 months and several washes on:

Next time you stop by, remind me to show you the 129s - I know we've got your/my size.

They're a magical fit, off the body, they look odd, but everyone who tries them is just blown away by how they sit on the body.

looking at this thread made me sign in and also want to wear my tenders! I've been wearing my simon james cathcart jeans--london based guy using sugar cane denim--so much that I've been neglecting my 130s! such great pants with so much life left in them. The detail levels on both of your brands are pretty similar, too. Different specifics here and there, but greats pants spearheaded and/or created by a single person. very cool!

Does anyone have experience with the Type 950 jacket?

I've been looking at it and it's growing on me a bit, plus I don't own any wool based jackets.

I know it's designed to be an overcoat, and it's suggested to take one size down if you're going to wear it as a standalone jacket which is what I'm likely to do if I buy one.

I've been looking for fit pics but haven't come across any so far.

I've been doing a trade show for the last week, very nice to see some clothes out in the wild  :) . I didn't get as many photos as I'd have liked, but these are truly superb! Vicken, of The Hill-Side,'s logwood 130s, 2 years old:

the natural dyes are really difficult to capture in photos, but if you compare with ayebomb's woad 130s and my own rinsed 127s at the top of the page you get a good idea of the subtle grey tint left by the logwood after they've been thoroughly worn in.

^thanks for this. There are 3 different base cloths (with various dyes etc). The herringbone wool-cotton in the pictures above is the lightest weight, but it's lined with a mid-weight cotton, so it's pretty warm- I'd say it's a mid-weight winter coat. Then there's the unfinished box cloth version, which is 100% wool and a bit heavier/warmer, but still a mid-weight coat. The finished box cloth is considerably heavier, and cut boxier. Then a couple of shops have a special double-box-cloth version, with unfinished ecru wool on the outside and finished navy box cloth on the inside- this is a double weight overcoat.

Please email me if you have specific questions about jackets, or need any more info.

Hi all, very sorry for the radio silence lately. The new spring production has been the biggest so far, and is taking a lot of attention. I've also been working on some really cool (I hope) longer-term projects which will hopefully start to appear later in the year. I'll be posting new season's images as soon as deliveries go out to shops, but in the meantime, I'm just back from a whirlwind tour of Japanese cities, including a great trunk show at Loftman, Kyoto. Here are some photos- once again it's amazing to meet so many people enjoying my clothes!

this last one from Brown & Seedling, previously in Chiba, but now in Tokyo, high up in an old office building- you have to go in an elevator and up a few flights of steps to find it. They're stocked Tender since they opened, 6 years ago, and it's a beautiful shop. Here are some photos (almost entirely sold out of Tender, waiting for their new delivery):

^thank you so much Drew! Really appreciate it. It's a huge pleasure to see the clothes being worn, and how they feel really different on different people. Among the visitors to the Loftman trunk who were wearing Tender were a gardener, an engineer, and a monk, which is a  very exciting and humbling mix. Speaking of full outfits, and with apologies for the delay, here are some images of the new spring/summer production:
