So, should I sell my (older, plain denim) type 900 jacket? First world problem if there ever was one... New jacket fits me just as well and is going to be more versatile given the removable liner. Plus, over-dyeing means it can be worn with denim pants more easily... Hmm...

I received my type 900 jacket yesterday and here's some fit pics featuring type 130 jeans:

Really like the fit but would not mind having little extra on the sleeve and body length. Size 6 would have probably been too big in the body.

@irual nice fit mate, I went for size 6 and have the same issue with the sleeves but there's bags of space in the shoulders and the fabric is pretty stiff so with wear it will relax and lengthen-I hope!

 

Whats everyone doing with the front label? Chopping it off or leaving it to desintagrate?

Thanks! I am counting on the shoulder to relax too @Toegun, if not I'm still happy with the fit. Yours look like a great relaxed fit. I am planning to leave the label for now. It will take a while to disintegrate as mine is still intact on my jeans.

Joined the type 900 club... lovely jacket living up to high expectations

Opted for a size 5 for a roomier fit after trying both the 4 and 5 at home in a chore jacket showdown.  In reality, a 6 would have done the trick too but I think @Toegun had snagged that.  Plan to wear over the colder period so have left space for layers.  The jacket feels cozy with the liner trapping pockets of air adding to the insulation.

@MJF9 yup sorry dude. I literally tried on the size 5 and emailed Will straight away. But it’s had that woad soak, so it will stretch out, in time. The inlay is very very cozy.

following on from the Ten Years jacket and jeans, the photoshoot for the season also reproduced images from the first season, wearing the exact same garments after a decade of wear:

I'm not sure whether I've changed for the better, but the denim's worn in really nicely, and it's good to feel that designs from ten years ago are still something I'm happy to wear and produce.

Here's another recent Tender addition, Wavers Stock curve front pocket jacket (WS922).
The wool used is a nice black/blue color mix, lined with a cotton ticking stripe fabric. Super cozy and warm, been wearing it almost daily while working from home.
Sleeves are on the short side, but I don't mind really. I can wear this over a thick sweatshirt, under a denim jacket or just over a tee.

Just pulled my 129’s out of the closet. Pretty much the craziest fades I’ve ever produced... 4~5 years owned, maybe about a year of wear. I wore these climbing for the first 6 months of their life and they were washed constantly.  The hand repairs have been a labor of love, but I’m considering dropping them of at Self Edge for some proper fixes. @rodeo bill thanks for the amazing jeans and fabric!

Thanks! Yes I'm really happy with how they came out. The corduroy is deadstock from a mill that used to weave in the UK but moved their production overseas years ago- they just had a few bits left of old British-woven cloth. It's a lovely soft cord and took washing really well. I particularly like how the wool flannel liner shrinks slightly more than the cord, so it pulls the edges in just a fraction, giving them a really nice 3D rolled edge. The body and pockets are lined with Welsh wool flannel, and the sleeves are lined with English cotton mattress ticking, so they're easier to pull on and off over other garments.

Here's the tan version, size 3, over a type 450 high back shirt and 136s:

Longtime lurker (specifically of this thread) and first time poster. Just put a new with tags Type 956 Janus Jacket in Ecru Cotton Molleton up for sale on the bay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/254833444949 - a fantastic piece, but I have so many Tender jackets (and other less important jackets) already and have been trying to break in my new Type 900 to the exclusion of everything else. Lots of feedback on eBay and other sites. Also happy to give someone a discount (in the amount of the seller fees I'd save) for buying outside of eBay.

The idea with this one was to do inside pockets, without using jets or welts (like a suit jacket), or a pocket bag- one of my self-imposed rules with Tender has been that pocket construction must never be hidden. The 456 Janus Shirt has a double set of patch pockets on the outside- the upper pockets are open from above like conventional chest pockets, and the lower sections are hand-warmers. As with the 430 Butterfly shirt the pockets are moved to the centre, and sewn into an outward-facing placket, to avoid two sewing lines where one will do. Janus (two-faced) jackets, like this one, are the same garment turned inside out, so now the placket faces in, with the pockets on the inside. This gives you two inner breast pockets, reachable when the front of the jacket is open, but it would make the side pockets unusable without some sort of opening. Opening up the side seams to above the pocket height gives you access to the inner hand-warmer pockets, and also to jeans/trousers pockets, like with access slits in overalls.

I've been meaning to post about the Janus Jacket since this fall. The best thing is when you combine it with the 440 folded pocket shirt you get vertical storage pockets (shirt) and Handwarmer pockets (jacket) that are both easily accessible while keeping the things stored in the shirt pocket secure. excuse the sun. it's been lacking. Yellow Ochre in honor of the sunshine today. 

Rx Flat tops, Iron Rust socks, Chlorophyll bound flat hem t-shirt and woad 132s round out the fit.
