also the buttons on that shirt look great.

Honestly, the buttons on Roy's shirts are on of my favourite things, they are always sturdy and good looking without being too flashy.

Looking forward to this shirt, hopefully there's a bit of time before it comes out so my bank account to recover from the last one!

^my thoughts exactly! a blue chambray is really the only thing i feel any inclination to buy right now, and if i was only to have 1 more shirt it would have to be from roy.

on another note—i'm sure this has been posted here before (probably multiple times) and people have already seen it (probably multiple times) but i revisited this video this morning and forgot how gripping of a cinematic experience it is...

Thats what I had read, I'm hoping these are the same fit. I wish the measurements were still online.

Original measurements for each below.

Also including RT1002 below since that was a modified Big Bro fit as well.

jeans look great but not as slim as I was hoping

I was hoping for a wider fit, so I'm pretty happy with the measurements I'm seeing. I think they're supposed to be loosely inspired by carpenter jeans, which would explain why it's not slim.

Also, if anyone is curious to know the back rise measurement, you'll have to ask Roy directly. I asked on his most recent post if he'd be able post them on the website, but he DM'd me saying that he wouldn't be doing that. He did, however, say that he can measure a particular size, then tell you what the measurement is!

I actually emailed Roy in regards to fitting. I'm stuck between sizes (all my jeans are 37" in the waist) and we discussed if the 38 could shrink down enough or if I should go with the 36 and just brace the waist during a cold soak. His recommendation was to buy a pair that fit perfectly presoak as long as your ok with just a cold soak and possibly bracing the waist. I generally don't wash my jeans a lot since they're usually only worn on weekends and when I do its usually by hand in cold water.

I'm not sure that exactly answers the fit questions but I just thought I could share what Roy recommended. Like he says: "Jeans are essentially an ill-fitting garment by design".

That's a great quote. Unless you getting bespoke jeans made from sanforized, washed-before-pattern-cutting denim, no pair could ever fit anyone of us just perfectly.

I'd recommend getting the 38, and doing a couple of hot washes to get all the shrink out. Then they'll stretch out to the amount of stress they're under, i.e. your waist and hips.

I really do like the look of this latest release, but will most likely pass on it.
