I picked up a pair of RT1002 when they dropped. At first I got size 32, and they fit well, but I was afraid they would be too tight when shrunken. I exchanged them for a 33. Still on the fence about the fit. They are very high rise, and they seem a bit like mom jeans to me. If I keep them they'll be my summer jeans. 

 

size 32: 

waist: 32.5

front rise: 

back rise: 16

thigh: 11.75

knee: 8.75

hem: 8.25

inseam: 37

 

size 33: 

waist: 33.5

front rise: 12

back rise: 16

thigh: 12.25

knee: 9

hem: 8.25

inseam: 37

I think you'll feel a lot less overwhelmed by those if you hem them.. a lot.

You gotta shrink 'em if you want to know for sure. Each time they touch water, the fit improves...

Yeah they settle a bunch with a warm wash, I've come to realize my pair feels like an ever so slightly tweaked and tapered version of the Kinda Special.

Mine are going to hit the water again today, got a little mud on them!

First day out in the KS1002...2 hot soaks and a hem.

The rise is definitely a bit higher than my norm, but the hem and double cuff helped it settle down.

One wash. They shrunk a lot. I'm glad I went with 33 or not 32. After the first fit pic, I ironed them too get them to relax and fall better. 

 

waist: 31.75 (not quite 32)

front rise: 11

back rise: 15.25

thigh: 12

inseam: 34.25

i think what you're referring to was the change in pocket style between his last two releases (Big Bro 2s & the ROY tapered)

 

one of the major differences was the pocket design

Warm wash, high speed spin cycle. My clothes are practically dry when they come out of the washer. I put them in the dryer on low temp for a short bit, but they were still damp when I took them out. 

 

The denim is still very hairy. It wasn't stiff at all when raw, so very little starch. They were actually a bit stiffer once they dried completely. I may be imagining it, but they almost seem a little darker after a wash, which I like better. The shade was a little on the lighter side for my taste when raw. 

 

I don't think I'll get them hemmed.

Yes, the shirt has been delayed partially because the store has been delayed and partially because Roy hasn't finished them yet, they've taken a little longer than expected to make.

Man, I really packed it on this winter. I tried to put my Ducks on, and they're laughably tight in the top block. 

 

Part of me still wants to try and sell them (though they are hemmed), and the other part of me wants to keep them, because they're fucking awesome, and because there are only 8 pairs of them (in this size) that exist.
