I like that stitching a lot  Wish mine had them...

Here's a pic of the honeycombs, mid-air (me not in them).

The denim takes on creases quite well, and is still reasonably stiff after a couple of months.

^ Awesome!

I think Roy has changed the leather for the patch - looks different from the one on mine when it first came. Not sure if it's just my monitor, but the grain looks completely different:

Jeans are looking great guys.

I'm hoping I get mine soon. I missed the boat before he shut down the ordering temporarily .

I'm coming up to SF next week. Gonna shoot Roy for my denim Photo project. If anyone is around to meet up, I would be down.

it's a type of stitching, dunno what it's called. one of my favorite details

It's called a Shell Overedging stitch.

He's got a vintage version of this machine:

One of these days when I get a pair of denim ROYs we can make it happen.

Damn son you have been debating these forever. It will be a happy (long time coming) day when we all see rnr in a pair of ROY Denim...

From April 12th, 2010...

Right now there is no good reason for me not to buy a pair of jeans. I just need to allot some money for them.

On another note, rnr, you just became my hero when I read this:

Slimmer cuts are for nancy boys.

Tempted to add as my sig...

Dkatz it was mentioned at our burrito fest that you had lived in the city, it's too bad you are off saving the world, peeing off of mountains, and yelling at enumerators or you could have joined us.

Awwwwe, you guys thought of meeee? *Sniff*.... I'm just so touched!

Okay I'm going to go back to being repeatedly reminded by the level of ineptitude in the world... and my ability to massively overextend myself over and over and fucking over again.

Nine days 'til the family arrives and I get some R&R... crawling...

And I'll be at one of these burritoROYfests one day!

Inseam - 35

Thigh - 11.75

Knee - 8.5

Leg Opening - 8.5

Post First Soak: (1/2 hour, hot water)

Waist - 34

Inseam - 33

Thigh - 11.5

Knee - 8.5

Leg Opening - 8.25

Post Second Soak: (1/2 hour, super hot water)

^same here atm...thigh measurements are two "tiny" for my soccer thighs :)...
that's what kinda kept me away from ROY...those thighs seem to be too tight for me

IMO they are most definitely tight in the thighs. To the point where I want to call them a slim straight. Fear not though, they do stretch back out a bit. I know mine have and I have worn them a total of 3 days. I will get some more measurements up soon...
