denimdestroyedmylife 1,666,991 Report post Posted March 18, 2006 I searched, but BLUE BLOOD is all that comes up. My friend's face bled all over his new prewashed Diesels. I know how superfuturians feel about this brand, but still, how to get the blood out? I'll post pics if he brings them over today... Thanks in advance shhh.... -

seoulfully 251 Report post Posted March 19, 2006 i don't know what it'll do to the indigo. if prewashed means they've been treated and faded, etc (i.e. not dry) then hydrogen peroxide on the blood spot, work it in a little, and toss it in the wash. i've had blood on shirts, jeans, etc. peroxide got it all out. no staining or bleaching etc. but i don't know about on these jeans. i'd think it's okay though.

LA Guy 482 Report post Posted March 19, 2006 As already posted, Shout will work fine, as will soda water.
bonde111 32 Report post Posted March 19, 2006 **I didn't see that someone already mentioned peroxide** Try hydrogen peroxide. I've never done it on denim, but on a cotton t-shirt, cotton polo, it has worked like a charm. It didn't do anything to the quality of the item either. Wow, very first post on here. Hope it works for your buddy. Edited by bonde111 on Mar 18, 2006 at 10:48 PM

obsessis 5,075 Report post Posted March 19, 2006 one persons spit is also a natural anti-coagulant for their own blood. if that person cleans out their mouth and then just spits into a cup for a while and uses that it will break down the blood and allow you to get it out with a little bit of water after you saturate and work in the spit. sounds gross but it works. next time you get a little blood on a white tshirt suck on the blood spot. it will go away.
cgeezy 10 Report post Posted March 20, 2006 Just cold wash them quick, it'll come out. Mine did on my Nudies. Edited by cgeezy on Mar 19, 2006 at 06:56 PM
Heartworm 169 Report post Posted March 20, 2006 Just soak the spot in cold saltwater for a while, then wash normally. Works on sheets at least.
obsessis 5,075 Report post Posted March 20, 2006 yes, i am totally serious about spit. if you ever get a hangnail or something that bleeds and it gets on a shirt, suck on it. the blood will come out because your saliva is a natural anticoagulant for your own blood.

keri 2,858 Report post Posted November 21, 2006 another good thing to do is to get the stain wet again, and pile up towels under it, and sing a damp something, push on it, you'll push the stain through the shirt onto the towels. Paper towels work fine.
denimdestroyedmylife 1,666,991 Report post Posted November 21, 2006 sing a damp something what does this mean?
keri 2,858 Report post Posted November 21, 2006 meant using a damp something, like a rag..... (i typed damn instead of damp this time. If I can get one post typed right the first time, I deserve a big fat chocolate sundae- I didn't even type this part right the first time)

lemons 11 Report post Posted December 3, 2006 yeah i recently got mugged and got the shit beaten out of my and bled all over my raw new standards. its too much blood to use spit to get out. is peroxide a safe alternative for unwashed denim? i am thinking about just leaving it there until i wash them, it does look pretty gnarly. i was really worried that the emt dude had cut my pants off of me in the ambulance but luckily he didnt.

carvedout 10 Report post Posted February 15, 2008 Don't wash in hot water. That'll set the stain. I gave them a cold soak after I put massive amounts of spit on the stains. They didn't dissapear completely, but it looks alright.
