man, this is a tough one because some excel on product selection where some simply excel on decor. then there's the customer service factor which is very critical because 99% of shops have this i-dont-care-if-you-buy attitude. but let's see... OVERALL the things i just mentioned and in USA?

1. Blends

2. UNDFT

3. A-Life Rivington

4. Proper

Ubiqlife -Philly

Harputs S.F., Portland - Get to know the fam and they just might let you up into the attic for some real treasures. they have over fifty years of new product that they just bring onto the retail floor at leisure.

Norse - Denmark

Barracuda - Mexico City

Adidas Originals - Mitte, Berlin

Carhart Store - Mitte, Berlin

Nike European Showroom, Mitte (accross the street from the park) You cant just walk in but if you somehow get an appointment peep the wallpaper... amazing.

Nort, Berlin

don't really have a list of favs but just for hospitality in San Francisco(where I'm currently at) I guess I gotta say HUF - the OG full time staff are great. You can just go there to hangout. Keith himself's a really cool guy and is nice to everyone. He even listens to customer's complaints(if they have any) and never gives that I'm better than you attitude typical of most of these "street" stores. Recently they got a new full time guy who's really annoying though. Eeaarggh...

and Nort SF - Collin, partner of Nort and Recon SF's another great boss who's both helpful and tells customer's what they need and should know about any of the stuff they're interested in.

out of all the shops i've been to, i have to say my favorites are

payless - 10 mins from my house, even though this is street store (bad neighborhood) but they are really nice.

fred meyer's shoes store - 15 mins from my house, best selection of nike and new balance. female workers there are nice also.

it seems everyone here is extremely well-travelled.

To everyone who mentioned multiple cities/ countries:

have you been to every store in the cities you mention or

visited their web site or heard from someone?

Can I ask you something? These sunglasses: they're really nice. Are they like government issue, or do you guys all go to the same store together?
