Footwear Sizing Discussion

Curious...how much toe space does everyone prefer in their shoes? I measure a TINY bit over 10 on a Brannock and sometimes TTS shoes are a little small on me for my liking.

Preferably I like to fit my index finger's width or thumbs width in front of my toes, standing up.

I'm undecided on whether to go with a 44 or 45 in RO dunks..

Can anybody help me out? I fit into:

Chucks - 11US

Clarks Wallabees - 11US

Clarks DB - 11US

Birkenstock - 44EU

44 seems like the obvious answer, but I saw where someone had posted that he was a 10.5 and 44's "fit him perfectly". And not that I'm going to be sprinting in these things, but all my running shoes are a 12US. I'm just worried that the 44's are gonna be tight and I'll be screwed. Then again, don't wanna needlessly size up and have clown feet..

My foot measures 26.5 cm long and 11 cm at the widest part.

EDIT: went for the 45.

anyone know how Blanc and Noir shoes fit? I assumed they're the same as CPs since the sole is the same, but I've heard they're true to size from a couple people and that I should size like CPs from another

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with a sizing question.

I recently ordered the Raf Simons Response 1 in size UK11, Barney's told me that is a US11.5 but they may run small.

Does anyone have these that can compare?

My sizing:

Nike Running - 11.5-12

Coomon Projects Achilles Low - 44

Vans Authentics / Eras - 11.5

Thanks!

@skeet agreed. also depends on the model as well. I have the 3989 and 1461 in the same size and the 3989s fit about a half-size bigger than the 1461s

for reference

AF1 7.5

Common Projects Achilles low 39

Raf velcro 39

doc 1461 uk6 (really tight, no half sizes)

doc 3989 uk6 (normal)

Hi, this thread is really helpful, because shoe sizing is a complete mess!!!!!!!!! there are so many different sizings from one country to another, from one brand to another, from one line to another, from one season to another...

I have a problem with the notion of "true sizing"... given the fact every brand / designer does whatever he/she/it wants concerning size, how is there such a thing as a "true size"?? I mean... I'm a true 41 in RO boots.... but I also am a true 44 in BBS sneakers... got my point?

Shoe sizing should always refer to the actual sizing of your feet.

If I have a 27,5-28 cms long foot, what size should I get in Rick Owens Ramones (converse style sneaks) and Geobaskets?

thanks for any help! any help is welcomed ;)

Wondering if anyone knows what the sizing is like on Visvim Sashiko Tabi Folks?

I'm a US10.5 in almost everything, 10 in Converse, 43 in CP Achilles.

The pair I'm looking at is a US10 and I'm wondering if I'd be able to get away with it, or if I'd be punishing my feet.

Thanks~!

Would consider myself a sz 9/42 but my feet are pretty wide so

I wear:

US9.5 Nike Inneva Woven (room in toe, narrow shoe)

US9 Nike Flyknit Chukka

US9.5 Nike Mayfly Woven (tiny bit of room in the toe, 9 is a bit too snug)

US8.5-9 Nike AF1 Low

US9.5 Vans vulcanized

US8.5 Vans chukka

US9 Vans old skool

US8 Converse Jack Purcell

US9.5 New Balance 998 (room in toe)

US8 Yuketen Maine Guide chukka

42 Ann Demeulemeester High-top con-style sneaker (fit very snug)

40.5 Ann Demeulemeester S/S13 wood-sole derbies (narrow & long shoe)

42 RO combat boots (fit a little large.  Toe box is huge)

42 MMM GAT

Some advice on sizing Visvim 7 Hole 73's?  Remember trying on Kngr Virgils in a 9 and having them be tight in the middle/roomy in the front.

this thread helped a lot, though i had a hard time researching prada sizing.

what i wear:

chucks - 8.5 us

vans core classic  - 9.5 us

nike flyknits - 9.5 us

dries van noten - 41 eu, possibly 41.5

doc marten 1461 - 8 uk (length was fine but width was a bit snug around laces, eventually stretched out with shoe trees and wear)

prada - 6.5 (prada sizing)

alden - 8e us (trubalance), could possibly do 8.5d

Re-post from small questions, sorry:

Red Wing 101 Postman vs 9016 (or gent traveller) sizing anybody? I have 9016 in UK8, fit very well with insoles. Length is correct, but there is a room for thick sock or, in my case, insole. Wonder with what size should I go for 101 Postman to not to add any additional insoles.

End support advises on the same size, but I concerned about Postman being as roomy as 9016.

Slightly narrow, but pick whatever size you go in Air Max / Nike Running. I am 11.5 in Vans and 11.5 in LunarGlides / most nikes

Does anyone know how New Balance running shoes fit compared to Nike Running Shoes? I just ordered some 890's

ALSO - looking for advice on what size to order in the 999 from New Balance?

11.5 - Nike Running

11 - Nike Air Force 1

44 - Common Projects Achilles Low

Hey guys, first time posting.  So my question is the following, I am trying to find a nice pair of minimalist sneakers that are well made.  So the first company that is on most people's minds is of course, Common Projects.  This leads to my question.  I have been researching how common projects fit, and my research has showed me they vary from shoe to shoe, and as a whole, run long and narrow.  I am a size 13 in almost every brand, however my feet are flat which makes my feet wide, especially in the mid sole.  Will size 46 common projects most likely fit (the shoe I am considering are the BBall highs).
