producer friends, artists, listeners, commoners, here is some footwork / chicago juke style shit i've been working on, it'd be tight to get some feedback.

I love analog hardware but I don't know if I'd ever buy a "regular" synth now that I've gotten into modular synths. They offer a virtually infinite amount of customization but I can understand the appeal of a traditional keyboard synth as well, there's some classics (Oberheim, Arp 2600, PPG, etc.) that I'd love to play with.

sup royale. pretty cool track, like your sound selection/design. convincingly futuristik. you are really good with using reverb, can you give any tips?

http://soundcloud.com/tench/mistress

my new shit.

also attempted to make a tb 303 synth patch in massive, feedback?

http://soundcloud.com/tench/emilia-1

that mistress track is really nice and different, i like, also the 303 sounds pretty convincing too, it's got that signature acid wow noise

as far as reverb goes i think there's a tiny bit on the individual synths coming from Sylenth which has it's own reverb built in, the snare has a little bit too, i always use Logic's Space Designer for that. Medium Spaces > Plate Reverbs > Soft Plate is my go to for drums, it doesn't color the sound too much like some of the others, usually dial it back to -16 to -21db.

also here's some new trap shit

this music shit is fun.

oh, the beats are all samples all the time... made with garage band. im learning... but too broke to upgrade now. im able to work with it to get the sound i want most of the time tho, so im alright with it for now.

I never knew this thread existed. I've been trying to produce things for a while but I haven't learned to mix or polish anything I have.

I made this today: http://soundcloud.com/sloweasyandy/untitled-6

Aside from arranging it into an actual song and mixing it, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can take this to the next level?

If you like this, I have more shit on my soundcloud I still have yet to flesh out. Please check them out and give me your honest opinions.

solid man. the chords sound nice.

i put up an older EP of mine on soundcloud as a set. if you want to download, the link's in the set description.

edit: 4got 2 add that i recently purchased my first bit of analog gear, and it fuckin rocks. http://www.elektron.se/products/machinedrum-uw

it's made by a small swedish company, and they're hard to come by in the US. i was lucky to find one on craigslist, at a pretty good price. so much to explore with this. i'll post some tunes made with it once i finish them all. it really forces me to make decisions when it comes to finally recording and arranging. i like the different workflow, keeps things interesting.

Spent another 15 or so hours working on the mix/arrangement of the track i posted up earlier. added a lot of new fills.

any feedback is very welcome. how you think i did on the reverb royale? i listened to some of your track's mixes for comparison as i made it haha.

sounds really nice and full to me, the only thing i would change if it were mine is the snare, it has like a poppy sound in the upper frequency ranges, not like an 808 snappiness, almost sounds like a rimshot or something...good shit tho.
