Evisu is still loved!

Hi Guys, Im new to Evisu and recently purchased a pair of Evisu No.2 Online, surprisingly the selvedge line is actually red and white

is this a fake??? :( :(

Some? It was the bulk of their selvage output for several years. Most Evisu International denim from approx 2000 to 2008ish will have that selvage with a printed, not stamped, No.2 on a fake leather patch.

Weird, I have multiple pre 2008 No.2's and none of them have that. But none of them were d85 though.

And they were all Macau-made Evisu International? I think they might have started using the No.2 designation on some of the later Italian-made stuff back when they were changing over.

 

At the time, and before I found this place, I often wondered what happened to the No.1 stuff...

Interesting that he mentions two or three new stores in the UK next year. Any ideas? Manchester for one, I'd imagine, and maybe Leeds or Newcastle? Glasgow? I doubt Birmingham will get one as although we're in the middle of the country (well, England anyway) we're too close to London...

Those are BIG measurements above, post shrink numbers to come when dry.

thanks, just saw them. so 1" below tag size raw. the price point let them look like No.1 denim but it isn't stated anywhere. Or do you know if that will be the new run of No.1 denim?

I think No.1 is still using red selvage but the denim is a new run comparing the new pair I bought a few weeks ago.

 

These certainly shrink like 'No.1'

Thanks for the info. Really looking forward how they fit you. From the measurements they remind me a bit of Fullcount 1101. You went with a proxy to get them? Which one did you use?

thanks for the measurements. you only soaked, no machine wash, right?

measurements look fine (although I'd take a 2000 cut in this denim anytime)

 

and yeah, the denim has a "character"
