Evisu is still loved!

Wearing the 2101's today, just come out of the wash. A couple of months wear, these are slowly changing.

Theres a guy selling Evisu 2101's on Ebay. I think he has size 30,31 and maybe 32's that he can get from an Evisu store in Japan. I bought a pair myself with white paint. Other than that I think there was a rakuten page that had some in stock but with gulls instead of the lazy S. Not sure about sizes on that one.

So I've got my eyes on a pair of red box Evisu's, however the seller couldn't tell me what the fit was (he said the patch said neither 0001 or 0005). Perhaps it's the heritage 0331 fit? If anyone happens to know more please do share. The pictures aren't helping either (sizing correct is very hard when modelling jeans, apparantly)..

EDIT: got a better picture of the back, it doesn't note the fit. Anybody happen to know?

You might be right, I tried on a pair of orange box once and they were a 0001 fit I think. I wonder if I can manage going down to a 29, I wear a (tight) 30 in 0005's.

Remember that the 0005 cut is oversized, so a 29 in 0001 would be noticeably smaller than a 30 0005...

Really? I always thought that waist sizes on both 0001 and 0005 were oversized. I had a pair of 0001's sized 30 at some point, ended up selling them because I wasn't gonna break them in anytime soon but from what I remember the waist wasn't that different on both pairs.. Although now I'm kind of doubting my memory.

I think the 0001 is around an inch oversized, and the 0005 is oversized by two or three inches.

Of course, you'll get a certain amount of stretch, depending on the denim used. Both my 0005 jeans (Lazy S and mizuhiki) are made of denim that is very stretchy...

Yeah, but I needed both the stretch and the oversize to fit into my 0005's (real waist in between 32-33). Might have to pass up on the red box pair then, the seller only has a 29 and a 31.

Just measured my 32 waist Lazy S, and the actual size is just over 35. Can't be arsed to take off the mizuhiki jeans to measure them...

I'll think about it for a bit, if I can get a good price out of the seller I might give the 29 a shot. Really love the little bit of paint for a tab design wise.

Yeah, I always liked the design but the fact it's D85 and 0001 always put me off a little. The orange tab ones were sweet, in D67 denim...

What's bad about d85? I'm not really sure what the difference is between d85 and d67.

I agree though that 0001 is a bit less nice as a fit.

I'm just not a fan, mate - there's something grey about it that doesn't appeal to me.

D67 is a more textured cloth.

i could have gotten a pair of 2000 no.1. at the store with the katakana but they were pre-washed. might have been a good choice though.

I dunno why but I love the katakana tag, it's what pushed me over the edge to get the 2005's instead of the 2000's last time.
