I started this thread as not to clutter up the Workshirts thread.

Here we'll talk about shirts which have chainstitch or chicken-stitch embroidery on them, vintage or new, doesn't matter.

Sayword, help me with this..

To start it off...

Here's a shirt i wear very often off by Flat Head:

The Tenderloins T-zorg Work jacket

Love this jacket, it's extremely warm, quilted polyester lining. Very heavy.

Whow, do you own those Cootie jackets?

They're made in Japan?

no I don't own them, they didn't have my size. But over the past couple of months I've been going through a list of these "rugged street" brands (wacko maria, Cootie, CoreFighter, Rottweiler, etc) and they are all the same imo. It's like they are copying each other.

I'm looking for stuff like yours, flat head, ironheart and vintage stuff. Those seem like way more authentic jawns

Doesn't anybody feel weird walking around with big embroidered improper english on their expensive jackets/shirts. It might be fine in Japan, but I would feel like a chump in the states. How many cliches can these companies ruin.

Sorry to unearth a buried thread. I know how some people feel about that, but Kiya suggested I post this so.

Picked up this excellent Unitog jacket during hungover thrift store shopping. Anyone know anything about this manufacturer/what this jacket's original owner might have had in mind for it?

Hey everyone! I've been doing chainstitch embroidery for several years and I just started making custom embroidered patches. Let me know what you think!

Everyone should check out Kathie Severs from Fort Lonesome here in Austin.  She runs 4 (I think) or so single thread chainstitchers and her work is crazy good.

Sorry to crosspost, but we at Left Field recently began offering chain stitch embroidery.  A selection of ready to go designs are available on the website, but we're also accepting custom projects.  Our operator has been doing this for 40+ years.

Here's a video of the process.

And here are pictures of some recent stuff.
