I hope so! Finding that sweet spot between being prepared (confident) and either under-prepared (panicky) or over-prepared (spastic) is proving difficult. The pipe helps though - do you smoke one as well?

Yes, although I am pretty new to that. If I had an open fire place I'd be the most lucky guy. Would be sitting in my red leather couch, drinking whisky, smoking and watching the fire and let the world kiss my ass.

And it helps to be self-assured, good prepared but with a little "fuck you anyway"-attitude. They want YOU beacause you're good, not vice versa

so finally i`m able to post the pics from my trip up to the top of the Schilthorn.

i was invited for a business meeting, so yeah...was a great day of "work"

the wellknown James Bond movie "On her majesty`s secret service" was once filmed there and there`s a great restaurant (rotating around so you have a full 360°view, while eating!)...but see yourself.

so my day started of with a nice little breakfast...

...near the river Aare.

this was our car for today. pretty badass (350hp)

arrived at the Schilthorn Bahn pretty quick.

(here you also can see the route which leads to the top!)

we`ve skipped the first stop and went directly to the 2nd stop, cuz we were able to use the cable car which actually just is for materials and other things.

Nice. You shure picked a glorious day for that visit since it's supposed to start snowing there on saturday.

The thing that always gets me is that after all these years they are still milking that James Bond thing for all that it's worth (which is not much considering that George Lazenby plays Bond).

A couple of years ago a friend persuaded me to participate in the Inferno half marathon (no joke), which goes from Lauterbrunnen to the top of Schilthorn. Most damn stupid idea in my life...

^^Being from, and in now, the State of Kansas one realizes that these two con men who traveled 200 miles to the middle of nowhere to blow away an entire family was an act of violence in my State that was very new at that time. And the fact that Capote, the famously homosexual NYC literary maven, would travel to KS to camp out and befriend these men to get his story was a bit of genius. A compelling piece of journalism.

Now, on to some BBQ! It was the American Royal weekend, which means many hundreds of BBQ making pros and semi-pros entering the MEAT competition. My friend and I have been judges for several years.

went to the camping site for 3 days 2 nites

the mountain called da ming san. it located at zheziang province, hangzhou and we reach there by bus just for 2 hours or more.

the weather was foggy

we decided to hiked and not used the cable car to go to the camping spot

ThinFinn I spent a week in Switzerland this past August and also took a trip up to the Schilthorn. Absolutely stunning, right? Later that day we hiked from Murren to Grutschalp.
