Went to one of the more popular parks in town, an old landfill turned into a giant hill. Great place to fly kites. IMG_0734.thumb.JPG.c48e5193abef9685bfbf0a2657190225.JPG

Or take picture of your jeans. These are Warehouse 1002 with just a few wears.

Some blues popping on the coin pocket creases though.

And once home... I had not had Shiner in a long time but this sixer is hitting the spot in major way.

Arrived in Texas the day before yesterday - visited the Fort Worth Stockyards today. Bit touristy but fun.

The "mayor" - "we don't have tourists in Texas, we have guests!"

Welcome to Texas! If you haven't already, check out the Kimbell Art Museum too. Its like 15 minutes away.

If you're into art, or at least seeing some big names, you won't be disappointed. Michelangelo's first painting is there, Caravaggio's probably most famous painting, some Da Vinci, and of course much more artists/sculptures spanning a variety of styles. I personally like it much more than the Dallas Museum of Art. The Kimbell is actually pretty modestly sized so you won't be drowning in art either.

Also, its free. :P

Thanks for the tip! Alas we already hit the road again, because my daughter was in a good mood and didn't mind a couple of hours of driving after an eventful day - just turned in for the night in Witchita Falls on our way north to Route 66 :)

I'm not the best photographer but I'll try my best here. Today there was a "free speech" rally on the Boston common, which in reality was just gathering of right wingers ranging from Trump supporters to white nationalists.  Figured I'd join the opposition.

The organizers looked like this

And this: the rare conservative hardcore kid.  I never see him at shows.

I learned that the green flag pictured below (in the style of a nazi flag of course) is a flag for some fictional country created by this bizarre Internet right wing movement.  They did not seem to realize the irony in them yelling about us living in our parents basement while their political movement is based entirely around Internet memes.

I left and took a quick stroll through the Boston garden

Ending the day (or starting my evening) with a cigar and a glass of scotch. Pictured are brand new sugar cane type III black denim - - excellent fit and great denim

^ Can't compete with that

Yesterday, we travelled along Route 66, stopping at a few places like the Leaning Tower of Texas (lol), Big Texan steak house, VW bug ranch and Cadillac Ranch. The Amarillo "Historic District" was a bit of a disappointment, I guess you have to be a biker to enjoy it or maybe visit at night for a bar crawl.

We've been enjoying Texas a lot. Today, our roadtrip takes us towards Santa Fe, with stops at a ghost town and along the Turquoise Trail.

Funny you should mention driving to Santa Fe @Cucoo my girlfriend and I just made the drive from Dallas to Santa Fe yesterday, unfortunately a couple of hours in to the drive we hit a small coyote which managed to take out a big chunk of the front bumper, dent the radiator, and cause all the coolant to leak out, and because we were in a rental we then had to wait for a tow truck to tow us back to the DFW airport where we could then get another car and start our journey again. So after setting off at around 7 yesterday morning we finally made it to Sante Fe around midnight last night

Anyway here are a few pictures from the journey and just exploring Santa Fe.

Finally found a good craft craft beer bar

Damn, that is some bad luck! We arrived in Santa Fe earlier this evening with smooth driving all the way (besides the ruckus a still kind of jet lagged toddler can cause).

We drove the turquoise trail because I wanted to see the madness of Tinkertown, it's not as great as "the Internet" claims it to be but at least my wife and daughter got in for free because of mother's day :D
